Semlor, or semla (singular), are one of the most traditional pastries of Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Estonia. They consist of a cardamom bun filled with almond paste and whipped cream. In my case, I chose whipped cream and mascarpone, because to my taste, besides having a better texture and body, they are much richer.
