Making Bread at Home: My Review and Recipes for the Emile Henry Bread Baker
I believe there is no greater satisfaction than eating the bread you have made yourself. To taste the result after so much care put into selecting the ingredients, the kneading, the watching during fermentation... Seeing the evolution the dough goes through during the process is a truly thrilling experience... and without a doubt, after tasting the bread, Delicious! Today I want to tell you about Emile Henry bread ovens, and offer you some recipes for them.
Mediterranean, glassware for everyday use
I remember that morning very well, a few months ago, when I walked into a shop in a town in the Cerdaña that sells all kinds of household and table items. I was determined to find some glasses, because the ones at home were starting to give out. I saw some that I loved: they were small, with a wide and, I would say, even sturdy base, but became delicate and elegant at the top. They also had a greenish iridescence, characteristic of recycled glass, which gave them a casual, warm feel that I adored. I left the shop happy! My new glasses were original yet casual, different and perfect for everyday use.
We have introduced a new packaging system
Today's post isn't about products, recipes, or recommendations. Today's post is something different, because we have news we're very excited to share with you: we have been the first in Spain to adopt a new packaging system that I'm absolutely in love with.
Cookbooks to Impress
Do you know how much joy is shared when you give a book about something that is your little passion? Giving a cookbook may seem like a cliché, but honestly, I think the right book can awaken a hidden desire, bring out a dreamy smile, or become the reason to start a new chapter. Because we all have some whims, some wishes, or some dreams tied to cooking, and there are many kinds of books - I'm sure the right book can often surprise!
Ideas for Presenting Appetizers on the Table
I've always been in favor of preparing some appetizers when you have guests at home. In many cases they can be prepared in advance, which allows you to be with your guests when they arrive, and I believe that's a great way to start a lunch or dinner. If the group is large, I suggest serving a welcome cocktail or punch as well — it's ideal for breaking the ice!
The Pantry: a very special selection for me
I can't deny the excitement it gives me that more and more people are encouraged each day to try the products from our pantry section. It's not easy to explain why, but imagine there is some ingredient that is special to you and that you use in your cooking, and that one day you tell a friend about it. Another day, unexpectedly, they come to you and say, "By the way, that ingredient you told me about—I saw it in a shop and tried it, I loved it!" Can you imagine the joy that comment brings you? (...)
Traditional Easter cake
We are at the doorstep of Easter, and if there is one thing children eagerly await it is the mona de Pascua. Although there are many versions and varieties today, we encourage you to make one of the most traditional. This is the recipe brought to us by Rosa, from Pemberley Cup&Cakes, the traditional mona de Pascua recipe. Wishing you a very sweet Easter!
My expeciencia with the BRA Infinity frying pans
I've been wanting to tell you about these pans for a long time, the BRA Infinity. In fact, I have so much planned about what I wanted to say that you could say today's post is one of those that practically writes itself...
Le Creuset Screwpull: corkscrews and accessories to enjoy a good wine
You'll agree with me that one of the things we've always seen in our parents' kitchen drawer is the corkscrew — that small kitchen utensil that seems immortal. Likewise, when you buy one you expect it to last the same time in your drawer, and to meet important criteria such as being easy to use, not requiring strength — and not needing any knack either! — and removing the cork in perfect condition. That's why it's important to know the options and choose well.
Choosing a Teapot or Kettle to Enjoy a Good Cup of Tea
"If you think you can leave the water heating here and go see how you kill time, you haven't learned anything from England," a friend teased me. He was absolutely right (about the water... as for England, the truth is it taught me many things): if you're going to make tea you should enjoy every moment, from when you put the water on to heat until you sit down to enjoy it. Do you know anyone who drinks tea in a hurry?
Tips for enjoying a good cup of tea
The world of tea is complex and fascinating, both because of the wide variety of teas that exist - each with its peculiarities, virtues and aromas - and because of the respect for the ritual that surrounds the process of its preparation.
Buying guide for your Le Creuset casserole
Le Creuset cast-iron casseroles are ideal for slow cooking and for preparing traditional recipes. We’ve often talked about them, but we’ve rarely discussed the different casseroles that exist—there are many—and I think it’s interesting to talk about which casserole is most ideal for each recipe. Casseroles are, by definition, versatile tools, but it can be helpful to know what each of the casseroles we have in the store is most appropriate for.
