What does Claudia&Julia do as part of their commitment to sustainability?

At Claudia&Julia, we have always been very mindful of our commitment to the planet. From day one, we have not only focused on offering high-quality products, but also on doing so in an environmentally responsible way. We believe every small gesture counts, and over the years we have implemented several initiatives to reduce our environmental impact, promote responsible consumption, and protect natural resources.

Below, we share some of the actions we carry out on our path toward a more sustainable store, because we are convinced that together we can make a difference.


  • We promote the use of durable utensils: you won't have found many "gadgets" made of plastic at Claudia&Julia that, although they may seem practical in the short term, usually break easily and force you to buy them again and again. We firmly believe it's better to invest in quality products that will accompany you for years, rather than opting for cheap utensils that wear out quickly and end up creating more waste.
In that same spirit, since we started we have encouraged customers to acquire cast iron and stainless steel pans, durable for a lifetime, thus avoiding buying new pans every one or two years. Thanks to everyone who trusts us — we are a leading store for 100% durable pans!
  • We minimize the use of non-recyclable materials: since the store's beginnings, we have used recyclable packaging for shipments and avoided the use of bubble wrap or plastic materials. In addition, a few years ago we invested in machines to recycle boxes, which we then use as internal protection for shipments, and we use recyclable, non-plastic tape.
  • We avoid double shipments: we try to combine orders whenever possible to avoid double shipments (which involve double the boxes and double the transport and CO2 emissions).
  • We participate in reforestation projects: For some time now, the store has implemented a policy to offset the carbon emissions generated during the shipping process: we collaborate in reforestation and renewable energy projects, achieving carbon-neutral shipments on all orders.
  • We were pioneers in Spain in the use of boxes that do not require tree felling and are much more ecological: we use boxes produced from recycled boxes and hay, much more ecological and sustainable than any other box (you can discover everything about them inthis post).
