Egg Recipes
You'll have to forgive me, the post title is blunt: today I'm bringing you a bunch of recipes for your meals and dinners with eggs — lots of eggs!
What am I talking about? It turns out that every second Friday of October (in this case, today, October 11), is International Egg Day, and we have plenty of recipes to celebrate it... and enjoy it at the table!
Onion Soup
Autumn has arrived, or at least that's what the calendar says, so at home dinner brings soups and creams to the forefront. Today's recipe, the traditional onion soup, is one of the standout recipes at home, and best of all it's very easy to make — and it's one hundred percent comforting!
Waffles with peanut butter
There's nothing like waking up to the smell of freshly made waffles. Making waffles is like making pancakes, you never make enough and if on top of that they are a different flavor then it's one of the best ways to start the day, although I'll tell you that at home they're liked just as much in the morning as in the afternoon.
Cornmeal waffles with blueberry compote
Today we offer you another easy waffle recipe, but this time made with corn flour (which you can substitute with gluten-free flour to make gluten-free waffles). We suggest pairing it with a blueberry jam that adds contrast and flavor. Delicious waffles for breakfast!
Coca bread
This type of bread closely resembles cristal bread. It is a slightly flattened bread, with a very thin, crispy crust and a very light, airy crumb. Without a doubt the perfect option to use as a side or to enjoy as the base of a coca. For example using the same ingredients we use to make the Coca de Recapte.
Iberian pork cheeks, recipe video with Claudia and Chef Rafa
You already know how we love to make use of the casserole. From making soups and creams to cooking a rice dish, putting together a good, hearty fabada or stew, preparing braises, cooking countless fish recipes or, of course, cooking meats to the max with very little effort. That’s what we’re doing today!
Calatrava Bread
Related to the family of flans and the puddings, Calatrava bread may be one of the easiest and most rewarding recipes to prepare. Its basic ingredients couldn't be simpler: milk, eggs and sugar, to which a portion of pastry or bread (hence its name) is added as the main feature. Basically, a classic egg flan only with a bonus. Not bad, right?
2 recipes to make in Bundt pans: Grapefruit Bundt Cake and Cider Bundt!
Today we bring a double helping of bundts: to celebrate the arrival of the new Nordic Ware Crystel and Magnolia pans, we bring you two recipes you'll surely make the most of: the recipe for a grapefruit bundt cake, which you can substitute with orange (or even lemon!) if you prefer, to get a delicious citrus cake; and the recipe for an apple cider and bourbon bundt that will delight everyone at home.
Rabbit stew with mushrooms and chestnuts in a pressure cooker
Although it takes a while for autumn to arrive on the islands and summer almost merges with "winter" for us, we do like to prepare dishes worthy of the season we're entering.
It's a season when those comforting stews you want to dip bread into are appealing, and you also have the option to add seasonal ingredients like chestnuts or even mushrooms.
Vegetable quiche
You already know how much we love quiches or savory pies at Claudia&Julia. We have them in every color, size, and flavor, but we never get enough. Today's one is a new recipe to add to the list and is perfect to have on hand for when we want to skip meat and fish. Something that, we can assure you, you won't miss once you sink your teeth into this vegetable quiche. It's tasty, juicy, delicious. In one word: amazing.
Chocolate Recipes!
Today, September 13 is International Chocolate Day. I think we can agree that this food of the gods deserves a tribute, or at least this post: a roundup of chocolate recipes to bring a smile to your face.
Toffee Panna Cotta
We leave summer behind but there are still days when you feel like having cold desserts. I already have my Bundt pans ready to bake a lot this autumn but I’m also using them for other preparations like today’s: a panna cotta, which is a dessert with a texture similar to flan, very silky and truly delicious. There are different versions of panna cotta: from the simplest, with vanilla, to more sophisticated ones.
