We love fresh salmon at home and our latest discovery is these salmon tacos in oriental sauce . To prepare it we use a wok and in no time we have it on the table.

The truth is that we use it a lot because it encourages us to eat more vegetables and healthy ingredients and it is also very easy to use. It is incredible how quickly everything is done!

For this recipe I recommend you buy a good quality salmon and cook it lightly to appreciate its texture and enjoy it more. You can also replace the broccoli with wild asparagus or use half and half.

Ken Hom Non-Stick Wok with Wooden Handle and Premium Microplane Zester Grater

Ingredients: (For 4 people)

  • 400 g fresh salmon
  • 1 bunch of broccoli
  • 2 scallions or 1 large sweet onion
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 100 g Chinese noodles
  • Salt
  • Toasted sesame

For the sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon of rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 300 ml of vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, rice wine, honey, ginger, corn flour and 100 ml of the vegetable broth.
  2. Cut the salmon into cubes, put the wok on the heat, when it smokes add a little oil and sauté the salmon in two or three batches just to mark it. It will take 5 minutes. Set it aside.
  3. We cut the broccoli into small florets, the spring onions into thin slices, add a little salt (the sauce is already a dressing) and add everything to the wok when it is very hot again.
  4. Sauté for a couple of minutes, using your wrist movements to turn the vegetables over and over again. You can also use a wooden spoon to help.
  5. We add the sauce and mix it with a spoon so that it takes on the flavour.
  6. Add the rest of the broth, 200 ml, and wait for it to heat up before adding the Chinese noodles and allowing them to cook at the same time as the vegetables. About 4 minutes or until the broth is consumed.
  7. We add the salmon and mix it gently, so that it doesn't fall apart with the rest of the ingredients.
  8. Serve immediately, sprinkling with a little toasted sesame seeds if desired.
