Today, September 13, is International Chocolate Day. I think we can agree that this food of the Gods deserves a tribute, or at least this post: a collection of chocolate recipes to put a smile on today's face.
Chocolate Day has been celebrated on September 13 since 1995, when the French decided so in honor of the birth date of Roald Dahl, author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
You might find another celebration date if you search for "Chocolate Day", July 7. That day was reserved by the International Cocoa Producers' Organization and the French Academy of Master Chocolatiers and Confectioners for World Cocoa Day, a day that is in fact still celebrated in many South American countries.
Personally, I understand and celebrate that there are two Chocolate Days! After all, how many foods are capable of stimulating our brain to the point of producing so much pleasure?
