Summer is the perfect time to enjoy meals with friends and family, and what better way to do it than with this highly successful rice. We have decided to do it with chicken and mushrooms, but as you already know, rice can be made in a thousand and one different ways and with the ingredients that you most like, or you can even choose to make a vegetable version. If you want to discover many different ways of making rice, and especially if you like paella, I definitely recommend the book Paella, by Alberto Herráiz .

To make this rice we have used the WMF stainless steel frying pan , ideal for preparing rice with chicken and mushrooms and taking it to cook in the oven. Do you fancy this tasty rice? Go for it!


  • 320 g bomba rice
  • 500 g chopped chicken
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 medium onion grated
  • 250 g grated tomato pulp, without skin or seeds
  • 650 ml chicken broth
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  1. Put a saucepan on the fire with the chicken broth so that it is very hot. Preheat the oven, in hot air mode at 160º.
  2. Add a splash of oil to the WMF stainless steel frying pan , turn on the heat and, when the oil is hot, add the chicken to brown it well. Book separately.
  3. In the same oil, brown the mushrooms cut into thick slices and set them aside.
  4. Again in the same oil, toast the onion well and when it is golden brown add the garlic (you can use the WMF garlic press, it works so well) and sauté for one more minute. Then add the tomato and cook over medium-slow heat until everything is very dry, almost starting to burn.
  5. Pour the rice, chicken and mushrooms into the pan and mix well with the stir-fry.
  6. Now add the boiling broth, correct the salt and mix everything gently, from this point DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE THE RICE ANYMORE.
  7. Put the rice in the oven for about 18-20 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes.

Now you can enjoy this delicious rice!
