Summer is the perfect time to enjoy a meal with friends and family, and what better way to do it than with this delicious rice. We decided to make it with chicken and mushrooms, but as you know, rice can be made in a thousand and one different ways and with the ingredients you like the most, or you can even choose to make a vegetable version. To make this rice we used the WMF stainless steel pan , ideal for preparing the rice with chicken and mushrooms and cooking it in the oven. Do you fancy this tasty rice? Let's get to it!
Ingredients
- 320 g bomba rice
- 500 g chicken pieces
- 200 g mushrooms
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, grated
- 250 g grated tomato pulp, without skin or seeds
- 650 ml chicken broth
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation
- Put a saucepan with the chicken stock on the stove until it is very hot. Preheat the oven, in hot air mode, to 160º.
- Add a splash of oil to the WMF stainless steel frying pan , turn on the heat and, when the oil is hot, add the chicken to brown it well. Set aside.
- In the same oil, brown the mushrooms cut into thick slices and set them aside.
- Again in the same oil, toast the onion well and when it is golden brown add the garlic (you can use the WMF garlic press which works so well) and sauté for another minute. Then add the tomato and cook over a medium-low heat until everything is very dry, almost starting to burn.
- Pour the rice, chicken and mushrooms into the pan and mix well with the sofrito.
- Now add the boiling broth, adjust the salt and mix everything gently. From this point on DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE THE RICE ANYMORE.
- Place the rice in the oven for about 18-20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes.
