The Mineral B De Buyer high iron frying pan with 2 handles is a deep pan, ideal for frying and making rice or stews as well as roasting in the oven. And thanks to its stainless steel handles you can hold it more comfortably and securely, plus it makes it fully suitable for your oven roasts!
In our Mediterranean diet, we use oil generously. And this high mineral iron pan is perfect for frying, as its walls contain our excesses without splashing the kitchen.

The high iron pan features two stainless steel handles, elegant and sturdy, that allow you to handle it comfortably and safely, both on the stove and in the oven. Thanks to its great height and capacity, it is a very versatile pan in which you can prepare all kinds of dishes:

Sautés. The high temperatures reached by the iron, combined with the design and height of this pan, make it ideal for use as a wok, so it is perfect for sautéing meats, fish, seafood, and vegetables, as it allows you to quickly achieve a homogeneous and tasty cooking result.
- Frying. Without a doubt, it is a wonderful pan for frying, as in addition to providing a great heating of the oil, its high walls help prevent splashes. Its concave Shallow Casserole design provides greater capacity, so you can fry more in less time.
- Stews and braises. This pan is perfect for all kinds of spoon stews and braises. The high temperature reached by the iron will allow you to quickly sear the pieces of meat and maintain the "simmer" at low heat settings, making it very efficient.

Things that are important to know about Mineral B iron frying pans
- De Buyer pans are made in France, and the only ones with a certificate of iron purity over 99%. The best!
- They are iron pans, so they can rust. How to avoid it? Avoid prolonged contact with water, do not let them air dry: simply, after washing, dry them with a cloth. If you want, you can leave them on low heat for a few minutes again to lose all moisture while you finish cooking (it's a very easy and useful trick to follow).
- If you are going to leave them unused for many days, you can apply a little oil and spread it over the surface with a paper towel, but it is by no means essential.
- Before first use, it is very useful to season them. This seasoning makes them more naturally non-stick. Seasoning is super simple to do. Watch the video among the photos to learn how.
- You have a pan for life! You can scrub it with a soft sponge, or wash it with steel wool if needed to remove stuck food, it won't harm the pan! (there is no non-stick coating to damage). They can turn black, evenly or in patches. Don't worry, the blacker they get, the better they will perform.
- If rust spots appear, wipe with a paper towel with oil, and you'll see how it disappears like magic. If the rusted area is larger, use steel wool without fear. Nothing will happen; it is a completely iron pan: under the iron layer, there is more iron.
- If you have had to scrub it with steel wool or just want to, you can season it again, but it is not at all necessary to do it repeatedly.
