Almond milk is one of my favorites, and if you turn it into an almond cashew milk recipe , it just keeps adding up. It's delicious! This is a milk that's full of energy and has a very nice flavor. You'll be drinking it by the cup! I like it sweet - we use agave syrup and dates to sweeten it. I hope you like this recipe as much as my kids do!

Ingredients

  • 75 g raw almonds
  • 75 g raw cashews
  • 800 ml water
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup or 1 or 2 pitted dates
  • (Optional) 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Soak nuts. Simply place almonds and cashews in a bowl or jar and cover completely with water. Soak overnight at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  2. After the time has passed, drain the almonds and cashews in a colander and rinse them with fresh water under the tap for a few seconds.
  3. Place the nuts in the jug of the KitchenAid K400 blender . Add the water, and the dates if you are using them to sweeten it. Blend at speed 5 for 1-2 minutes, until the mixture is liquid and smooth.
  4. Now you need to filter the water. You can do this in two ways:
    • Using a muslin cloth : cover a bowl with a cotton cloth, pour in the mixture you have crushed and close the cloth, lifting it and pressing it until it is completely filtered (only the remains of nuts will remain in the cloth).
    • Using the Chufamix Vegan Milker : transfer the blended mixture to the filter of the chufamix, inside the bowl of the same. Pass the Chufamix pestle through the filter several times, pressing to release all the liquid and take advantage of all the juice from the nuts.
5. Add the vanilla paste and agave syrup and mix.
6. Pour the milk into a bottle with a stopper and store in the refrigerator (maximum 4 days).

Grades:

  • We have some ideal bottles to preserve your vegetable milks, I encourage you to see the Lock Eat airtight bottle , with an airtight clip cap, and the Revol bottle with a glass cap .
  • You can also sweeten your vegetable milk with honey, sugar, stevia... Use the sweetener you prefer.
  • I personally love making this almond and cashew milk with a teaspoon of cinnamon and using dates to sweeten it.

Hola Yolanda,
