Many of you think that making a bundt cake is complicated, or that it requires certain skills in the kitchen. Well, if you read and follow the advice prepared by Virginia, author of the recipe "Death by Chocolate" that we posted yesterday , you will see that, in fact, making a delicious bundt cake is not very complicated. We encourage you to read them, so that you dare to prepare your first bundt cake for next November 15, International Bundt Cake Day!
Tips for successfully preparing a Bundt Cake :
1.- Before any other matter, it is essential to grease the mould very thoroughly, paying special attention to all corners. Although these moulds are wonderful for unmolding, as they have such a sinuous shape, it is advisable to dedicate a little time to this initial task, so that when unmolding our work does not fall apart.
2.- The preparation and greasing of the mould can be done in the traditional way, with butter and flour; or in the case of chocolate cakes, with butter and cocoa, to avoid a white film at the end. But in my opinion it is faster and more reliable to use a non-stick spray and then spread it well over the entire surface with the help of a brush. Unmoulding is infinitely easier, faster and more reliable because it reaches all the corners more easily.
3.- When placing the dough in the mould, we must make sure that it reaches all the corners and areas of the mould. If the dough is very thick, we must gently press the dough with the spatula.
4.- We should not fill the mould more than 3/4 full. Although the original moulds indicate the capacity in cups, and the recipes almost always do as well, if you do not have them, or do not know the equivalent of cups, this rule will help you to ensure that the dough does not come out of the mould when it expands in the oven.
5.- It is advisable to level the dough inside the mould, so that it is slightly higher on the sides than on the inside. This type of preparation in these moulds with a central tube, when baked, tends to inflate and rise more on the inside than on the sides and this will prevent this, or at least make it less pronounced.
6.- Before placing the mould in the oven, we should gently tap it against the counter a few times to get rid of any air bubbles that may have been trapped in the dough. This way, when making the cut, we won't get those undesirable holes that we sometimes get.
7.- When our cake is finally baked and before unmolding it, we must let it cool for 10-15 minutes upside down on a rack, no more and no less time. If we try to unmold it before then, our cake, still very hot, will be too fragile and could break. If we leave it beyond this time, it may stick too much to the walls of the mold with the same result when unmolding it.
8.- Before proceeding to the final unmolding, we will separate the cake from the sides of the mold, pressing gently with the help of our fingers. Then we will tap it gently on the surface several times and carefully turn it over onto a cooling rack.
9.- Bundt cakes are usually tastier the next day than the day they are made, because this gives time for all their flavors to blend and take shape.

Muchas gracias!
