I know, in summer we eat more salads and lots of fruit... but you can't deny that it also brings so many other tasty but not-so-healthy things, like tapas and appetizers dominated by fried foods, one too many cold beers, or those delicious creamy ice creams we so deserved given the heat.
Whether from those excesses or the return to routine, starting a new season often brings new resolutions, such as following a healthy diet. So we bring you the list of the 6 essential tools for a healthy kitchen:
1. A pressure cooker:
With pressure cookers (quick cookers) you not only shorten cooking times, but they also allow you to steam or cook with less water, which helps preserve nutrients in foods much better and prepare light, very healthy meals... while preserving all the flavor!
Another alternative to the pressure cooker for steaming is the Bra steamer pot, a very versatile Set that will also be part of your day-to-day.

2. Gefu Spirelli 2.0:
Cooking can be healthy, but it should also be attractive! With fun cutters like the Spirelli or the Spiralfix you'll prepare a wide variety of salads and wok or skillet recipes that are much more fun and appetizing. Eating vegetables will be much more appealing!

3. A wok:
Cooking with a wok means cooking with little oil and fat, but great flavor — foods cooked quickly and combinations of vegetables, fish, meats, tofu, rice... truly tasty, varied, and healthy.

4. An iron grill:
Do you know why the grill is the quintessential summer utensil? Because you usually grill meats or fish in it using very little oil, and it also releases the fats the foods themselves contain. If the grill is also made of iron, you'll get a much more authentic flavor and it will last a lifetime.
5. Opinel vegetable knife and Gefu oval peeler
If you're determined to follow a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, you can't live without the Opinel curved-blade knife: you'll peel this type of food very comfortably, and thanks to its thin blade you'll remove only the skin, preserving all the flesh.
And for hard-skinned vegetables like carrots, or for potatoes, the best peeler we've tried is the Rösle oval peeler.

6. A kettle:
Herbal teas will help cleanse the body, curb hunger, accompany a snack, provide a moment of peace... And there's no better way to enjoy tea than with an authentic whistling kettle.
