The decorated chocolate sticks are a snack that's very easy to make and super fun and decorative for your kids' (and adults', let's be honest) celebrations.
Making them is really simple — you just need to dip the breadsticks in hot or melted chocolate and decorate with your favorite toppings. Below I leave some ideas with some of the most popular toppings that always look great with chocolate.

Topping ideas
- Colored sprinkles
- Cocoa powder
- Grated coconut
- Almonds
- Crushed pistachios for a crunchy touch
- Chopped white, dark, or milk chocolate pieces
- Crushed cookies
- Chopped candy-coated chocolates
For the chocolate, you can use baking chocolate dark, milk, or white, so you can make even more flavor and color combinations.
Preparation
- In a ceramic bowl, melt baking chocolate in the microwave with 20% of its weight in 18% fat cooking cream.
- Place the breadsticks into the bowl, or use a spoon to pour the melted chocolate onto the sticks or grissini, leaving at least one end uncovered so they can be held.
- When the chocolate is still somewhat warm but no longer dripping from the stick, cover it with the chosen topping by sprinkling the sprinkles or powders over the chocolate. You can also put the topping on a plate and roll the chocolate-coated grissini on the plate so the topping sticks to the chocolate.
- Place the grissini in a tall glass or on a cooling rack until they finish cooling down.
- Serve in a tall glass or mug, or in a pretty vase. Let the party begin!
With a pinch of imagination you're sure to come up with many more options! This is a great recipe to make with the family and spend a fun time together. Also... they're such a tasty snack!
