I am in love with the combination of the sweetness and softness of the pear with the flavor, intensity and saltiness of the gorgonzola cheese. It is a combination that I often have as an appetizer or snack to kill hunger: sliced pear with pieces of gorgonzola cheese. As is, delicious!

But you can give this combination a more beautiful and round finish if you wrap it in serrano ham and melt it in the oven. A marvel!

Today's recipe is a solution to a dinner, a starter or the perfect accompaniment to grilled or baked fish. I hope you are encouraged to try it, it is a combination that, although it may surprise you at first, I assure you that it is a real delicacy.

Lurch vegetable dumper

Ingredients

  • 2 medium pears
  • 100g gorgonzola
  • 2 slices of serrano ham

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. Using a sharp knife, cut off the tops of the pears, creating a "cap" about 2cm below the stem.
  3. Hollow out the pears with the Lurch fruit and vegetable pourer and fill each one with 50g Gorgonzola.
  4. Wrap a slice of serrano ham around each pear, and fix it with a toothpick or wooden skewer.
  5. To finish, put the "caps" back on the pears, place them in an ovenproof dish ( Nordic Ware Naturals trays work very well for these occasions) and bake for 20 minutes at 180ºC.
  6. Arrange on a plate, accompanied by some nuts or dried fruits if you eat it alone, or serve it as a side to grilled fish. To enjoy!
