We bring you the recipe for Yakisoba stir-fried with vegetables and prawns, a super quick option for everyday meals, very complete and full of flavor.
Yakisoba are typical Japanese noodles, and a great option to break away from the usual Italian wheat pasta we cook more often at home. You'll have them ready in 5 - 10 minutes.
We're going to make the recipe with the WMF Steak Profi frying pan, since it is the ideal pan for stir-frying, as its metal interior heats up a lot. With it, we'll get the perfect wok effect, because we need very high heat for a very short time — with the Steak Profi we'll achieve that, with the advantage that being non-stick nothing will stick.
Ingredients
- 250 g noodles
- A few drops of sesame oil
- 2 spring onions, julienned
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 100 g Chinese cabbage, julienned
- 250 g peeled prawns
- Katsuo bushi, dried bonito flakes
- Yakisoba sauce
Preparation
- First of all let's heat the WMF Steak Profi frying pan. When you see the pan is very hot, you should add a splash of oil.
- Next, add the julienned carrot and spring onions. Stir-fry for a couple of minutes.
- When you see the carrot and spring onions start to brown, let them soften for a few minutes and add the Chinese cabbage.
- Add the prawns and keep stirring. Since the pan is very hot, it will just take a couple of turns and it's ready.
- Meanwhile, bring plenty of water to a boil in a large pot. When it reaches a boil, add all the pasta at once and stir so it doesn't stick. It's important to cook with the pot uncovered.
- When the pasta is cooked, it's important to take it out of the pot and add it directly to the pan with the prawns, spring onions, carrot and Chinese cabbage. Finish stir-frying everything together.
- Finally, add the yakisoba sauce.
- Finish by garnishing the plate with a few bonito flakes. They'll give it an amazing look. You'll see!
