We have been working with Kitchen Craft products for a long time now, and some of you may have noticed that we have recently added more references from this brand. The truth is that I have a special affection for this brand - it transmits a feeling that somehow intoxicates me, inspires me, and I think that they have a character, an air, that goes very well with the Claudia&Julia style.

“The Claudia&Julia style” – now that I’ve written it, it makes me laugh. But that’s how it is, and despite the smile, it’s very serious for us: we give the store its own character, which is the sum of Jordi’s and my way of thinking, of our way of doing things, of cooking, of the way we want to lead our lives and that of our children. We reflect all of this when choosing the materials and shapes of the items, the manufacturing processes of our suppliers, in dealing with people, in… We put love into the store. A store that, despite being “modern” because it’s online, has everything we can give it that’s traditional, close, quality and healthy. And we also find a bit of all this in the Kitchen Craft items. Well, a bit of that and other things that I want to explain to you; because I would feel quite satisfied if you only took a tenth of the love that I have for their items.

So here I go, to try to explain the qualities and characteristics that make Kitchen Craft a brand to look at fondly, and that breathes the same air as Claudia&Julia.

Kitchen Craft is a very practical brand: very often the practicality of their products leaves you speechless, because they leave you wondering why you hadn't thought of doing something that they implement in such a simple way before. A good example of this, so you understand me, is the cake case : thanks to a silicone seal, the lid stays in place, thus preserving the freshness of the cake much better, and it is ideal for transporting them.

Another feature is simplicity. Why bother with electric choppers or weird mechanisms when you can just use a hand crank ? Looking at everything they do and how they do it, it's clear that Kitchen Craft wants to keep things simple – much easier for the consumer to like, to know how to use the utensils, to clean them…

The fact that things are kept simple usually means that they have very affordable prices – other brands will be much more expensive because they have devised more complex systems or added extras. Kitchen Craft will stick to the line of making things for what they are, without any big frills so that they don't end up being more expensive than they should be.

But despite its reasonable prices, it maintains high quality standards – you can see this in its processes and materials, which ensure that they do not fail so that the piece lasts a long time. To give an example, in this case you can see the centrepiece for appetizers (made of acacia wood with porcelain containers) or the cheese cutting board (also made of acacia wood and stainless steel wire).

But one thing I love about Kitchen Craft is that they always present you with things that somehow make you think they are unique – things that you want to have, things that you see and think that you have finally found what you had seen somewhere special and didn't know where to look, pretty things and, why not, also fancy things.

And it's easy to give an example of this. I only have to show you the glass bell jar centrepiece , or the fruit and vegetable basket . Would you say that they are not a treat, a perfect gift, something you want to have or something you would know where to go to find? (Allow me to repeat, now that I see these things again, I love what Kitchen Craft does!)

And the fact that it has very unique or very personal things is also linked to the fact that it is a company that is always researching the latest trends. That is why it is constantly bringing out new things that find an open market to discover and try. Take for example the set for preparing preserves, which was launched before it became popular to prepare preserves at home, or the adjustable funnel for preserves , which still has the characteristics mentioned above – practical and simple.

And finally, something that should not be forgotten is that it is a family business. And you already know that we like family! It was founded a long time ago – in 1850 – in the United Kingdom, and it has been passed down from parents to children ever since. So it is a company with tradition, and the designs they use are also traditional. You will surely have seen a classic air in the centres shown above, but you will also clearly see its homely or traditional touch in the moulds that are becoming so popular: the cake moulds , as well as the quiche moulds or the ceramic baking tray .

You will agree with me when I say that the design is very well suited to the purposes of these items, they have a traditional feel to them whilst not being heavy, I would even say a youthful touch, and make them suitable for many occasions. The same goes for the newly introduced aprons – look at the cute traditional touch they have given them!

What do you think? Between tradition, the search for quality, familiarity, trying to offer a good price, practicality… Don’t you agree with me and think that Kitchen Craft is very much in keeping with Claudia&Julia?
