Let's make a feast on the table! Today I'm not bringing you a recipe as such, but original ideas to enjoy a chocolate fondue in different ways, the proper way, Big time! The truth is making a chocolate fondue is very simple and fun, and we couldn't wait to bring you some ideas that we believe aren't widely practiced. Let's see what you think!
We can't deny that the discovery of what we bring you here was motivated by the Choco Fondue Marie by Boska . It has opened up a world of possibilities for us by offering a fondue to enjoy at a very affordable price, and exactly the same applies to the traditional fondue, where you can make both chocolate fondues and traditional cheese fondues.
Thanks to the double-walled porcelain of the Fondue Marie (isn't that name lovely?), the chocolate melts perfectly in a bain-marie keeping the ideal temperature, so the chocolate won't burn or become bitter. You'll be able to enjoy a creamy, perfect fondue for much longer.
How to prepare a chocolate fondue?
First of all, prepare the Fondue Set, with the outer container filled with water and the candle lit. Next, break the chocolate with your hands, dark for a more intense flavor, or milk chocolate for a milder taste. Add half a cup of whole milk, and optionally, you can add a teaspoon of butter to give it a creamier texture and flavor.
Stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and you achieve a homogeneous texture. When you see melted, uniform chocolate, it will be time to enjoy it.

How to prepare special chocolate fondues
To make a chocolate fondue with a different and special flavor, play with flavors and try different chocolate fondues. For this, add vanilla extract or orange extract or mint extract while the chocolate is melting, and continue stirring well.
You can also try making a more sophisticated fondue: you can add a tablespoon of your favorite liqueur hazelnut, almond, orange or even coffee.
To enjoy the fondue, it's common to prepare pieces of bread or toasts cut into bite-sized pieces, and of course what can't be missing are some small plates or a board with pieces of seasonal fruit; you'll see it's a great source of vitamins, minerals and fiber.
If you want to escape presenting the fondue with the classic toast, I encourage you to bring waffles to the table, or waffle cookies. They pair great and are very convenient to eat. Likewise other types of cookies, many pair fabulously with chocolate (not to dare say "all").
This November, you can find grapes, pears and mandarins delicious for mixing with chocolate! Pear also works wonderfully. In that fruit presentation, banana slices and strawberries can never be missing when we talk about chocolate fondue (of course!), but I'm sure you already know that.
If you also want to surprise with something different and have the chance, present the chocolate fondue with roasted figs, they are delicious. And there's another food that pairs wonderfully with chocolate and with which you can surprise: corn on the cob: grill some cobs and bring them to the table; you'll see that if you pour some chocolate over them with a spoon, you'll look like the life of the party.
If you feel like adding an informal touch, or there are little ones at that feast, also arrange the classic marshmallows. I promise that skewering one of those, roasted or not, and coating it with chocolate is a pleasure we don't always dare to do, but it's delicious (and a chocolate fondue is the perfect moment to do it without worrying about what others might think).
To finish, you can serve the dark chocolate fondue with a glass of wine on the side. I assure you it will be a wonderful explosion of flavors.
At Christmas, you can make the same recipe by adding mandarin extract and pieces of marzipan. It's a very popular recipe in Scandinavian countries.
The Choco Marie fondue is a big temptation, because it's adorable with the double body. But the double body is designed for the bain-marie, and that's not usually what's sought. If you simply want a fondue and plan to heat the chocolate with other traditional methods, then you should consider the Traditional Boska fondue, is ideal for sharing between 2 or 3, and you can make both chocolate fondues and cheese fondues, with no limitation.
