Preparing baked pear or apple is one of the easiest, quickest and most delicious things there is, and you can imagine that seasoned with a touch of cinnamon and paired with yogurt it makes a delicious recipe. Today I bring you how to make these little jars of yogurt and cinnamon-roasted pear, which are ready before you can say "pls".
These yogurts are just as tasty with pear as with baked apple, so use either fruit interchangeably, or mix both because that's also a great option.
To make the yogurt we will use the yogurt maker, which if you don't have it or don't know it I invite you to see this post, in which we show that far from making only yogurts in it, you can make countless desserts.
Ingredients
For the roasted pears:
- 3 Conference pears or 3 Golden apples (whether pears or apples, choose ripe ones but not overly ripe, or they will become very mushy; if they are green they will be too hard and won't pair as well with the cinnamon)*
- 1 generous tbsp of brown sugar
- A few tablespoons of honey
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon (you can also use a cinnamon stick).
- (Optional) Half a teaspoon of ginger
- Half a glass of water
For the yogurt:
- 600 ml of whole fresh milk
- 1 quality natural yogurt
Preparation
For the roasted pear or apple:
- Clean, peel and cut the pear or apple into small cubes, and arrange them in an ovenproof dish or tray.
- Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon over the top, mix and pour a few tablespoons of water and the honey. Mix again and place in the oven at 180 ºC until tender and cooked (in about 15 minutes it will be ready).
- Remove from the oven and let cool to warm.
NOTE: For these yogurt jars you can also use pear or apple compote. Simply put the fruit in a saucepan, almost cover with water and turn on the heat. Stir and wait until the fruit softens and the water reduces.
For preparing the yogurt:
- Spoon the pear, apple or mixture of both into the jars, placing a tablespoon in each (leaving a finger's width at the base of the glasses of the yourtera Multidelices covered by the fruit).
- In a bowl and using a whisk with ball tip (we do not want to incorporate air into the mixture), mix the yogurt with the milk, and pour into the glasses. Cover them with their respective lids.
- Plug in the yogurt maker and prepare it by putting a finger's width of water in the base. Place the yogurts inside and select the "Yogurts" mode (if you want to leave them to set for 8 hours) or the "Yogurts express" program (if you want them done in 4 hours). Wait for the program time to elapse and the yogurts will be ready.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
Notes
- When you mix the milk and yogurt, you can sweeten it with stevia or sugar if you prefer sweet yogurt. You can also make them as in the recipe, and add the sugar afterwards, when you're going to eat them.
- Whenever I roast apple or pear I make extra. That way I use the leftover roasted pear or apple to make some puff pastry treats, or mash it a bit more and put it on toast - they're a delicious breakfast! Or to eat with a spoon, that's always a good option.
- If you want to make yogurt jars in express mode and skip roasting the fruit, you can also use jam: put a few tablespoons of your favorite jam at the bottom of the glasses and pour the milk and yogurt mixture on top. You'll see how good they are!
