What do you do when you have remains of shortcrust dough that you have had to cut from a cake? Or if you have some pears in the fruit bowl that make eyes at you so that you can enjoy them at will? Today I bring you a super successful recipe to prepare in 3 minutes and enjoy after a while: baked pears with oats and shortcrust pastry. A delicious whim!

You can bake the pears in any mold, be it non-stick, iron or ceramic. I have opted for the tall Revol mold , terrine type. I like it that way, because it is neat and well presented, it works great for a small amount of fruit (today I only baked two pears) and with the lid everything is done even faster, since it retains the heat inside.

Ingredients

  • Conference pears (I used two, but use as much as you need)
  • Brisa pasta* (remainders of dough that you have left or a quarter of refrigerated dough)
  • Oat flakes (I have used 3 generous tablespoons, but apply to taste)
  • maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • Yogurt or vanilla or cream ice cream as an accompaniment.

*For a gluten-free recipe, use gluten-free shortcrust pastry. You can also follow the recipe without mixing with shortcrust dough, simply make pears with roasted and spiced oatmeal, they come out delicious.

Preparation

  1. Peel and cut the pears into cubes or pieces, without much regret. Place them directly in the mold that you are going to bake (I have used the Revol terrine type mold with lid ).
  2. Cut the breeze dough you have into small pieces and distribute it throughout the mold, mixing with the pear.
  3. Sprinkle with the tablespoons of brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Pour in a drizzle of maple syrup (a couple of zig-zags across the pan).
  5. Mix everything with a spoon and spread more or less evenly.
  6. Spread the rolled oats on top and sprinkle some sugar and syrup on top.
  7. Place in the oven at 180 ºC with heat up and down for 20 minutes, and 5 more minutes with the grill function, or until it has taken on a nice toasted color.

Grades

  • You can eat it as is, it's delicious (Word, you'll want to finish it by the spoonful!). It will also be the perfect accompaniment to a bowl of yogurt for breakfast or a snack.
  • If you don't have shortcrust pastry or if you want to make it less sweet, simply omit it, leave it out and bake pears with oatmeal and cinnamon and honey, as is.
  • If you want, before putting the final oats on top you can mix more oats with the pear. If you are one to drink these delicious drinks, it is worth adding more.
  • It is also a great dessert accompanied by vanilla ice cream or cream.

It is a wonderful recipe, rich and easy to prepare, designed to save time. Do not hesitate when adding quantities, simply pour into the mold and mix the quantities by eye with the pear, you will not go wrong if you do not overdo it and if you have confidence in your "ojimeter".

To enjoy!
