This veggie supreme pizza recipe has everything to be the star of Fridays (and every day of the week!). It is a vegetarian pizza full of seasonings and that any palate will fall in love with: we will prepare a very aromatic tomato sauce , which will delight everyone. In the pizza filling, the green pepper, the mushrooms, the cherries and the red onion will be the luxury guests of our supreme veggie pizza, without forgetting the black olives, which add that salty and highlighted touch to each bite.
To get a very crispy crust, we will bake it in the Nordic Ware Naturals® pizza tray which, thanks to its inner air chamber and its material, heats up very quickly and thanks to its perforated surface allows the heat to arrive just as quickly to the dough, giving it that appetizing golden spot.
Whenever I bring you a pizza recipe I love to highlight how easy and quick it is to prepare and how much everyone likes it, whatever the ingredients. At home, he normally plays on Fridays and just by saying: "Let's have pizza for dinner!", the little ones (and also the older ones) applaud with joy, since in addition to being something they love, they volunteer as helpers for the occasion.
One of the great benefits of pizza is that it admits all kinds of ingredients and that is always an advantage. The decision of the flavor of the pizzas is part of the party and it is usually the children who choose what they want with a single condition, that there must always be a veggie. In this way we also include the vegetables and they eat the pizza without question.

Nordic Ware Naturals Pizza Pan
Ingredients
For the homemade sauce:
- 2 teaspoons of olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 3 tablespoons natural grated/crushed tomato
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chopped dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon chopped dried basil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 pizza dough base*
- Cornmeal (for the mold)
- 6 sliced mushrooms
- 1 green bell pepper cut into thin slices
- 1 medium red onion thinly sliced
- 6 cherry tomatoes cut in half
- 6 sliced black olives
- Grated mozzarella (buffalo or vegan)
*You can buy the base for the pizza or make it at home. It is very easy to prepare and it is really worth it. You have the recipe for the traditional pizza base here .
Elaboration
For the homemade sauce:
- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan or skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until lightly golden.
- Add the crushed tomato along with the rest of the ingredients and stir to mix everything.
- When it starts to boil, reduce the heat and simmer until thickened for about 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
For the veggie supreme pizza:
- Preheat the oven to 230°C.
- Dust the Nordic Ware Naturals Pizza Pan with cornmeal.
- Extend the pizza dough and place it in the mold.
- Bake the dough without the ingredients for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tray from the oven and spread the sauce over the dough with a spoon, so that it is evenly distributed.
- Place all the ingredients, leaving the cheese for last.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the pizza crust are lightly browned.
- Serve hot and enjoy its flavor with each bite.
Grades
- You can vary the vegetables on the pizza to your liking. Add different peppers, eggplant, some green asparagus, leeks or carrots. The ones you like the most!
- Try adding some gherkins or chopped capers or arrange some arugula leaves as soon as it comes out of the oven.
- The tomato sauce is great and, as you have seen, very easy to prepare, so it is worth making a larger quantity and keeping it in jars in the fridge or freezer. You can use it to accompany other dishes: white rice, pasta or with grilled chicken.
