If there's something that wins me over about a authentic American burger, it's the flavor of the first bite.

The wonderful combination achieved with top-quality meat, some fresh vegetables and the mild heat of the chili, all wrapped with good cheese and the best bread, makes that first bite seem irresistible to me.

As I'm sure it's the same for you, I can't help but share this fantastic recipe for the American-style barbecue burger and a few simple tips so they'll give you a standing ovation. Because making homemade burgers it had never been easier!

The combinations of ingredients you can make are endless, but to achieve the perfect doneness for this gourmet burger there are several important things to keep in mind:

The quality of the meat and the grind size. Grinding it and giving it the right texture is one of the key factors to enhance the flavor and achieve a very appealing silkiness in the burger. Something that with the Kitchenaid metal chopper accessory it's very fast and simple.

  • Mix the ingredients you have chosen well to prepare it and chop them together so that the flavors and aromas of all of them blend and come together.
  • Use fresh, crisp vegetables. Sweet onion to enhance the flavor of the seasoned meat, and lettuce to provide the necessary touch of freshness.
  • Cook the hamburger in a iron grill. You will get a great result.
  • Choose the best bread. Or, if you want, make it yourself! With a soft crumb so the juices and flavors of the meat soak in well.
  • Choose a cheese you like, mild or sharp, but always sliced so it covers the burger and melts with the heat.
  • Add barbecue sauce—sparingly!—so it enhances the flavor without losing the essence of the burger.

With these tips, with the Kitchenaid metal chopper accessory and the recipe for American-style barbecue burgers, you'll see how easy it is to make some tasty homemade burgers.
