Beatriz, author of the To Be Gourmet blog, brings us a recipe made with a tool that I really wanted to show you. It is a small ice cream maker that we leave in the freezer to use when we want to make homemade popsicles. Its use is extremely simple: you only need to put the ingredients and in a few minutes the ice creams are ready to eat. Beatriz has prepared on this occasion some delicious ice creams with very natural ingredients. Do you dare to try?

If it is difficult for children to eat fruit, with the ZOKU QUICK POP refrigerator they will not stop this summer!

I have known about this product for a long time and I was looking forward to trying it. More than a regular utensil, it is a true toy for children and adults. Making poles, with all the possibilities offered by the ZOKU system, is the most fun I've ever done.

Choose ingredients from a thousand colors, let your imagination run wild thinking of more and more combinations, and make magic watching how our ice creams are made in less than 10 minutes in front of our very noses.

The attached instructions are very simple, you just have to identify the tools and follow the steps.

I have chosen these options for their attractiveness and their delicious flavor, although the variety of Zoku ice cream recipes is as wide as the creativity of each one. The first is a memory of the fruit porridge that my mother made me when I was little; apple, orange and banana.

The second one is a whim for my daughter Marta who wanted a pink polo shirt. With the cherries in season, things were clear!

Apple, banana and orange lolly

  • 1 apple
  • 1/2 banana
  • 25ml of water
  • 2 level tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 piece of lemon
  • Orange juice 2 oranges

for two poles

  1. Peel the apple, reserving a few slices to garnish, sprinkle them with lemon and reserve. Crush the rest of the apple with a tablespoon of sugar and a little water so that the mixture is not so thick. Squeeze the oranges and add a tablespoon of sugar.
  2. Cut some banana slices and cut them in half. With the help of the wand to stick the fruit, we place the pieces of apple and banana on the walls of the Zoku mold (they stay stuck due to the cold). Next, pour the orange juice until it fills a third of the space, wait for it to solidify (3 or 4 min), add the apple juice, wait again and finish with more orange juice. We unmold when it's solid.

Yogurt lolly with cherries, chocolate and milk

  • 1 strawberry yogurt
  • 7 cherries
  • White chocolate filled with red fruits
  • 50ml of milk
  • 2 level tablespoons of sugar

for two poles

  1. We dilute the sugar in the milk and reserve. Pit the cherries and crush them. We put the strawberry yogurt in a bowl and over it we strain the cherry juice so that it falls very thin on the yogurt. It will take a nice strong pink color.
  2. We break some pieces of white chocolate with red fruits and with the help of the wand we are placing them on the walls of the Zoku mold (they stay stuck due to the cold). As the chocolate is more difficult to stick, we previously dipped it in the sweetened milk.
  3. Pour the yogurt with cherry into the Zoku mold until almost the end. We wait for it to solidify (approx 5 min) we add the milk with sugar. We wait two or three more minutes and remove from the mold.

Every time a pole is taken out, another can be prepared. In the ZOKU ice cream maker for three popsicles there are six sticks, so six popsicles can be made in one go. Coupled with the wide variety of possible Zoku recipes, imagine everything you can prepare in no time!

I'm already looking forward to doing more!!!
