Beatriz, author of the blog To Be Gourmet , brings us a recipe made with a utensil that I really wanted to show you. It is a small ice cream maker that we leave in the freezer to use when we want to make homemade popsicles. Its use is extremely simple: you just need to put in the ingredients and in a few minutes the ice creams are ready to eat. On this occasion, Beatriz has prepared some delicious ice creams with very natural ingredients. Do you dare to try them?
If it's difficult for children to eat fruit, with the ZOKU QUICK POP ice cream maker they won't stop this summer!
I have known about this product for a long time and I was looking forward to trying it. More than just a normal utensil, it is a real toy for children and adults. Making popsicles, with all the possibilities offered by the ZOKU system, is the most fun thing I have ever done.
Choose ingredients from a thousand colours, let your imagination run wild thinking of more and more combinations, and create magic as you watch our popsicles being made in less than 10 minutes right under our noses.
The instructions that come with it are very simple, you just have to identify the tools and follow the steps.
I have chosen these options for their attractiveness and delicious flavour, although the variety of Zoku ice cream recipes is as wide as each person's creativity. The first one is a reminder of the fruit puree my mother used to make me when I was little: apple, orange and banana.
The second one is a treat for my daughter Marta who wanted a pink polo shirt. Since cherries are in season, it was clear!
Apple, banana and orange popsicle
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 1/2 banana
- 25ml of water
- 2 level tablespoons of sugar
- 1 piece of lemon
- Orange juice 2 oranges
Preparation
For two poles
- Peel the apple, reserving a few slices for garnish, sprinkle with lemon and set aside. Blend the rest of the apple with a spoonful of sugar and a little water to thin the mixture. Squeeze the oranges and add a spoonful of sugar.
- We cut some slices of banana and cut them in half. Using the fruit stick, we place the pieces of apple and banana on the sides of the Zoku mould (they stick because of the cold). We then pour in the orange juice until it fills a third of the space, wait for it to solidify (3 or 4 minutes), add the apple juice, wait again and finish with more orange juice. We remove the mould when it is solid.
Cherry, chocolate and milk yogurt popsicle
Ingredients
- 1 strawberry yogurt
- 7 cherries
- White chocolate filled with red fruits
- 50ml of milk
- 2 level tablespoons of sugar
Preparation
For two poles
- Dissolve the sugar in the milk and set aside. Remove the stones from the cherries and blend them. Put the strawberry yoghurt in a bowl and strain the cherry juice over it so that it drips very finely onto the yoghurt. It will take on a beautiful, deep pink colour.
- We break off some pieces of white chocolate with red berries and with the help of the wand we place them on the walls of the Zoku mould (they stick because of the cold). As the chocolate is harder to stick, we first wet it in the sweetened milk.
- Pour the yogurt with cherry into the Zoku mold until almost the end. Wait for it to solidify (approx. 5 minutes) and add the milk with sugar. Wait two or three more minutes and remove from the mold.
Every time you take out a popsicle, you can prepare another one. The ZOKU ice cream maker for three popsicles has six sticks, so you can make six popsicles in one go. Add to this the wide variety of possible Zoku recipes, and imagine what you can prepare in no time!
I'm already looking forward to making more!!!
