Making fresh pineapple juice at home is quick and easy, it only takes 10 minutes. Plus, since it's homemade , you can be sure it doesn't contain any added sugars. It's funny how we tend to buy bottled pineapple juice, despite how easy it is to make at home, how delicious and filling it is, and that fresh pineapple juice is a favorite of both children and adults.

I hope that, with today's recipe, this will change and you will try to prepare it at home, because natural and fresh pineapple juice is delicious: a great way to quench your thirst and enjoy a 100% natural refreshment. In addition, you can vary its flavor with little tricks that I tell you below to make varied and delicious pineapple juices!

In this post I leave you:

  1. The recipe for making pineapple juice at home
  2. How you can vary the recipe to obtain delicious pineapple juices (don't miss the last section!)

1. How to make pineapple juice at home

Ingredients

  • 1 medium pineapple (500 g once cut and peeled)
  • 400-450 ml cold water (approx*)
  • Juice of half a lemon (optional)
  • 1/2 tbsp white or brown sugar, or other sweetener (optional)

*The amount of water will depend on your preferences, since depending on the pineapple you have chosen, the blending time and your taste, you will add more or less water. I recommend starting with 300 ml of water, and adding more until you get the desired consistency (you may need up to 500 ml).

Preparation

  1. Peel the pineapple, removing the stem and bottom of the pineapple and then the rind. Then cut it into slices and cubes.
  2. Put the pineapple in a blender with 250 ml of water (I use the Magimix blender , which offers me good blending power and allows me to pour the water through the cap progressively). Start blending.
  3. Add the lemon juice and sugar, if using (see notes).
  4. Once it's blended, decide if you want it more liquid, and add water while continuing to blend until you get the desired consistency. You'll quickly see it by eye, you'll see, and you don't have to worry about adding 50 ml more or 50 ml less.
  5. Once crushed, pass it through a strainer (a fine strainer, a cotton mesh or a Chinese strainer) or use the Chufamix to filter it and obtain a very clean and liquid juice.
  6. You already have your pineapple juice! I recommend using a jug and storing it in the fridge (in notes you will see why I use Romantic Candy)

Grades

  1. I prefer not to add sugar when making juice, because it tastes good as is and, at home, if someone wants to add it, they do so immediately when drinking it.
  2. I recommend filtering with a cotton mesh or Chufamix because they are the best ways to perfectly filter and extract all the juice.
  3. Use natural mineral water, and make sure it is cold from the start, this will better preserve the vitamins in the pineapple.
  4. I love using the Romantic Candy pitcher for juices because the ice cube tray inside allows you to chill them without diluting them. Awesome!

2. Take note! Ingredients for Vary your pineapple juice in cool ways

You can vary the flavour of pineapple juice and obtain a different and truly delicious recipe if you add any of these ingredients:

  • Half a glass of natural orange juice adds a natural sweetness that combines very well.
  • You can replace part of the water with coconut water , it gives it a tropical and soft touch.
  • Half a mango (or a whole one if you like it a lot), which will increase the sweetness and add a creamy texture .
  • The same goes for bananas, try it and you will be surprised.
  • Add a centimetre of fresh ginger when you grind it, it adds a spicy and warm touch.
  • A few fresh mint leaves provide freshness and a refreshing flavor.
  • Natural yogurt , to add a touch of acidity and creaminess.
