Fig season is officially here, and we won't be the ones who will be short of ideas when it comes to enjoying them! We love them at home, especially my husband and my eldest son, and although they enjoy them naturally at this time of year, when accompanied by a good cheese they become a delicious dinner!

What I bring you today is a recipe for cheese lovers and quick dinners - although it is also true that you will look very good if you prepare it as an appetizer at any meal, whether in summer, autumn or you can even prepare it as an appetizer at Christmas (you can also prepare them with dried figs the rest of the year).

The base is made with brie cheese, topped with figs, toasted walnuts and a light touch of walnut oil . You can prepare it in two ways, in a cast iron skillet or, the other, in a ceramic cheese dish suitable for the oven.

When serving, you can accompany it with some crispy toast or toasted bread. You will thoroughly enjoy this delicacy!
