As you well know, I'm an unconditional fan of healthy cooking and every day I try to cook recipes that help me take care of myself.

I love cooking on the griddle or on the grill. In it I can brown meats, fish and all kinds of vegetables and greens. It's a very healthy way to cook food: cSince they don't need a very large amount of oil to brown, they are lower in calories and better preserve the original nutrients. For example, meat roasted on the griddle or the grill acquires a special flavor that only this type of cooking can provide. Also, in the case of vegetables, their texture, flavor, and vitamin content is quite similar to when raw.

The most suitable way to use a grill or a griddle is to let it heat up gradually. This way, the heat will spread across the surface and the intensity will be the same for all the foods we place on it. What's more, I recommend brushing the foods with a brush before cooking them to make sure they don't stick, and we'll also reduce calories in the recipes. What could be better than cooking with more flavor and less fat?

To clean the griddle or the grill, it's better to let it cool, just as we do with cocottes. We'll clean it with a sponge with hot water and soap. If we see that some food has stuck, we'll let it soften with hot water and then remove it with total ease.

When it comes to cleaning them it's also important to keep in mind that, although grill-type ones are very attractive, flat grills are much easier to clean since we don't have to scrub each of the grooves.

I cook with a Le Creuse grillt and I have to confess to you that since I’ve been cooking with it, the meat comes out tastier.
