Discover the most delicious and varied slushie and frozen drink recipes! Whether you already have the Slushi Ninja slushie machine or are thinking about getting one, you're surely eager to explore and try out a thousand and one recipes with it. Cola slushies, lemon slushies, iced coffees and frappés, frozen chocolate smoothies... In this post, you’ll find 15 recipes using the Slushi Ninja!

The Slushi Ninja slushie and frozen drink machine is incredibly easy to use: you basically just need to pour a drink into the container... and it’ll turn it into a slushie! That’s why you can enjoy delicious frozen fruit juices (pineapple, peach...), turn soft drinks into slushies (cola, orange...), or chill coffees and smoothies to refresh your summer with great pleasure. You’ve got to see it in action! On the page of our beloved Slushi you’ll find some videos to give you a clear idea.

That said, let’s get started with some varied and delicious recipes you can make with your slushie machine!

IMPORTANT NOTE: All the recipes in this post are designed to yield approximately 1.3L of slush, which equals about 5 servings (5 glasses). You can easily adapt the recipes by adjusting the quantities for more or fewer servings.

Recipes for the Slushi Ninja frozen drinks machine

1) Cola Slush or ANY soft drink of your choice

INSTRUCTIONS: Pour 1L of Coca-Cola into the Slushi tank (for about 4 glasses), and start the Slush programme. In around 30 minutes, it’ll be ready to serve (once the drink reaches optimal frozen temperature, the Slushi will beep three times). Serve immediately.

Instead of cola, you can use:

  • Orange soda (like Fanta Orange or Aquarius Orange),
  • Lemon soda (like Fanta Lemon or Aquarius Lemon) or lime soda,
  • Pomegranate sodas, or Aquarius or Trina with red fruits,
  • Ginger ale (like Schweppes Ginger Ale),
  • Any sugary soft drink, such as: Sprite, 7Up, Schweppes Lemon, Kas Orange / Lemon, Trina Orange / Lemon, Strawberry Fanta, Nestea, Minute Maid...
TIP 1: To figure out how much liquid to add, use the glass you plan to serve it in. Just pour in as many glasses of liquid as you want to serve – and voilà! You’ve got the right amount (always add half or one glass extra… you know someone will want seconds).

2) Iced Coffee Frappé

INGREDIENTS:

700 ml whole milk, cold

2 tablespoons of double cream

700 ml of black coffee, cold

120 g icing sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large jug or bowl, whisk all ingredients together until well combined and the sugar has fully dissolved. Pour the mixture into the Slushi Ninja.
  2. Select the FRAPPÉ programme.
  3. Once the drink reaches the ideal frozen temperature, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately, topped with whipped cream and chocolate or caramel sauce. Absolutely addictive!
TIP 2: The default programme settings are ideal, but everyone can customise their slushie to their taste. Use the temperature control to adjust the texture to your liking – for a finer or coarser slush, increase or decrease the coldness with the chill indicator.

3) Frozen Lemonade Slush

INGREDIENTS: 1400 ml of cold lemonade. To prepare it, you'll need:

3–4 large lemons

1 litre of very cold water

80–100 g of sugar (adjust to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Squeeze the lemons and pour the juice into the water. Add the sugar and stir well – your fresh lemonade is ready!
  2. Strain the drink through a sieve.
  3. Pour the lemonade into the Slushi and select the FROZEN JUICE programme.
  4. When the drink reaches the optimal frozen temperature, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately.

Suggestion: Serve the lemon slush with a slice of lemon on the glass rim. Another trick I love for acidic drinks: rub a lemon slice around the glass rim and dip it in sugar. It creates that beautiful, sweet-sour edge that's both pretty and tasty. Then gently fill with the slush, keeping the sugared rim intact.

4) Lemon & Orange Slush

INGREDIENTS:

1L of sweetened lemonade (see previous recipe)

500 ml of strained orange juice

Optional: You can sweeten it further by adding 1–2 tablespoons of sugar to the orange juice and mixing until dissolved.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Pour both juices into the Slushi container.
  2. Select the SLUSH programme. Adjust temperature if desired.
  3. When the drink reaches the optimal frozen temperature, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately.

5) Iced Chocolate Milkshake

INGREDIENTS:

1 litre of whole milk

500 ml of double cream (min. 35% fat)

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract (approx. 10 ml)

50 g of white sugar

120 ml of chocolate syrup

20 g of cocoa powder

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, whisk all the ingredients until the sugar, chocolate syrup, and cocoa powder are fully dissolved and combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into the Slushi Ninja and select the MILKSHAKE programme.
  3. Once the drink reaches optimal frozen temperature, the machine will beep three times. Serve immediately. You'll win hearts by serving it in cups or glasses topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

SUGGESTION:

Before pouring, swirl chocolate syrup inside the glasses – it looks great and makes scooping up the last drop even more fun! On top, decorate with whipped cream, syrup, or go wild with dulce de leche, salted caramel, cinnamon, chocolate powder, a biscuit, colourful sprinkles, or chocolate buttons for the kids... Go all out and enjoy!

TIP 3: When using the Milkshake or Frappé programmes, serve the contents within 30 minutes after the cycle ends to prevent excess foam.

6) Low-Sugar Chocolate Milkshake Slush

Simply replace the sugar in the previous recipe with erythritol. You can also use allulose. And for the chocolate syrup, go for a reduced sugar version.

7) Iced Strawberry Milkshake

INGREDIENTS:

1 litre of whole milk

500 ml of double cream (minimum 35% fat)

10 ml of vanilla extract (2 teaspoons)

50 g of white sugar

120 ml of strawberry syrup

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl or blender, blend all ingredients until fully combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into the Slushi Ninja and select the MILKSHAKE programme.
  3. When the drink reaches the ideal frozen temperature, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately, with whipped cream and a drizzle of strawberry syrup if desired.

SUGGESTIONS:

You can replace the sugar with a couple of tablespoons of condensed milk – it adds sweetness and a delicious flavour.

For serving, garnish with strawberry syrup, salted caramel, chocolate sprinkles, a sponge finger or a piece of cake. Pure heaven!

8) Pineapple Slush

INGREDIENTS: 1200 ml of pineapple juice (can be store-bought; if you'd like to make it fresh at home, follow this recipe).

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pour the juice into the Slushi container and select the FROZEN JUICE programme. Once the slush is ready, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately – a super refreshing drink!

9) Iced Chocolate Milk Drink (Cola Cao Slush)

INGREDIENTS:

125 g of cocoa powder for hot chocolate (like Cola Cao or Nesquik)

1200 ml of whole milk

250 ml of double cream (minimum 35% fat)

NOTE: No additional sugar is needed as the cocoa powder is already sweetened.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, whisk all ingredients until fully combined and the cocoa is completely dissolved.
  2. Pour the mixture into the Slushi Ninja and select the MILKSHAKE programme.
  3. When the drink is ready, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately – top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, or even marshmallows for the little ones.

10) Iced Coffee Milkshake

INGREDIENTS:

1 litre of whole milk

500 ml of double cream (minimum 35% fat)

10 ml of vanilla extract (equals 2 teaspoons)

70 g of white sugar

60 ml of black coffee* (either a long coffee or two espressos, depending on desired strength)

NOTE: You can substitute the 60 ml with instant coffee by mixing 1–2 teaspoons of instant coffee with about 50 ml of hot water, then letting it cool.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, whisk all ingredients together until fully blended and the sugar and coffee are fully dissolved.
  2. Pour the mixture into the Slushi Ninja and select the MILKSHAKE programme.
  3. Once the drink is ready, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately, topped with whipped cream if desired.

SUGGESTION:

Use the temperature control to achieve your preferred texture – either a fine iced coffee or a thicker granita-style version (see sample photos).

Whipped cream looks especially great on finer textures when serving.

11) Piña Colada Slush (alcoholic recipe)

INGREDIENTS:

1200 ml of piña colada mix

250 ml of coconut rum

NOTE: You can find piña colada mix in the cocktail section of most supermarkets. To make your own at home, mix: 750 ml of pineapple juice + 400 ml of coconut cream (not coconut milk, but cream, like “Coco López” or similar) + 1 or 2 tablespoons of sugar.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Pour both liquids into the Slushi container and select the FROZEN COCKTAIL option.
  2. Once the drink reaches optimal frozen temperature, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately and decorate as desired.

12) Kombucha Slush

INGREDIENTS: As many cups of kombucha as servings desired.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Pour the kombucha into the Slushi container.
  2. Select the SLUSH programme.
  3. Once the drink reaches optimal frozen temperature, the unit will beep three times. Serve in glasses with a straw.

SUGGESTION: If your kombucha is low in sugar, you can add a tablespoon of sugar and stir well before pouring it into the Slushi.

13) Oat & Caramel Frappé Slush

INGREDIENTS:

300 ml of oat milk

1 litre of cold Americano coffee

40 ml of plant-based or regular cream

120 ml of caramel syrup

20 ml of vanilla syrup or 1 tsp of vanilla extract

1 tablespoon of sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until fully combined and the caramel is fully dissolved.
  2. Pour the mixture into the Slushi container.
  3. Select the FRAPPÉ programme. The preset temperature will begin automatically, but you can increase to 3 bars for better texture.
  4. Once the drink is frozen, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately and decorate as you like (with whipped cream, syrup, salted caramel…).

SUGGESTION: You can froth milk for decoration. Add a little coffee for a beautiful brown hue. Keep in mind the foam melts quickly in slush, so make sure it’s firm – or just use whipped cream instead.

14) Iced Caramel Milkshake

INGREDIENTS:

1 litre of whole milk

500 ml of double cream (minimum 35% fat)

10 ml of vanilla extract (2 teaspoons)

50 g of sugar

120 ml of caramel syrup

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, whisk all ingredients until the sugar and syrup are fully dissolved and combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into the Slushi and select the MILKSHAKE programme.
  3. Once the drink is ready, the machine will beep three times. Serve immediately with whipped cream if desired.

SUGGESTION:

Before pouring, swirl caramel or salted caramel syrup around the inside of the glass.

Top with whipped cream for a gorgeous presentation.

15) Frosé Slush (Frozen Rosé Wine – alcoholic recipe)

INGREDIENTS:

400 g of chopped strawberries
150 g of icing sugar
1000 ml of chilled rosé wine

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Mix the strawberries with the sugar in a large bowl. Let it rest in the fridge for at least an hour (or overnight).
  2. After resting, pour the rosé wine into the bowl with the strawberries and sugar.
  3. Blend all ingredients until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve to remove strawberry seeds.
  4. Pour the mixture into the Slushi and select the FROZEN COCKTAIL programme.
Once frozen, the unit will beep three times. Serve immediately. You can decorate with strawberries or serve alongside them.

I hope you’ve found some drinks in this Slushi recipe collection that you’re dying to try. Personally, I just hope they inspire you and mark the beginning of a special connection with your Ninja frozen drink maker. Because here’s something important you shouldn’t forget: with the Slushi, you can freeze almost any drink, as long as you keep the following in mind:

  • The drinks must be completely liquid (for juices or smoothies, make sure they’re properly strained and have a fluid texture).
  • They must contain at least 5 g of sugar per 100 ml (this is very low, but be careful with light or sweetener-only drinks).
  • For alcoholic beverages (e.g., frozen cocktails using the Frozen Cocktail mode), all ingredients combined should contain between 2.8% and 16% alcohol.

Have fun with these recipes – and go on to create many more!

Ciao e grazie! Ho appena comprato la Slushi e sono ansioso di provare tutte le ricette.
Una domanda : quando parli di sciroppo( caramello, fragola), intendi quello liquido della Fabbri , oppure un topping qualsiasi (più denso)?
Grazie mille!
