It wasn’t long ago that we added tableware products that have really caught people’s attention. Since you often ask us about these products, I decided to give you a brief explanation of what Tokyo Design Studio is.

Tokyo Design Studio is the brand of a Dutch company, CNB enterprises, with more than 30 years of history and is 100% inspired and produced in Japan. Looking at the designs, it may be surprising that it isn’t Japanese, but I’m convinced this is the factor that has most helped create such spot-on brand pieces: they combine Japan’s tradition and functionality with a modern, European touch. Success is guaranteed!

Although, to be honest, I think the brand’s great success is that, with such eye-catching designs, they have sparked the desire to put a lot of style on the table. Anyone who sees them can think of only one thing: "I want them!", because the brand offers collections in very varied styles, which will appeal to many different profiles, yet all are highly functional. We’re talking about plates, mugs, bowls, trays... all of them at surprising prices, considering we’re talking about ceramic products of very high quality with excellent finishes.

In my view, there are two interesting aspects of Tokyo Design Studio. First, it lets you have everyday pieces that bring color and joy to your meals, while also offering pieces you’ll want to use when hosting a more special dinner. Second, it lets you create the composition that suits you best, both in terms of pieces and colors—a single collection offers different variations. As a result, the brand appeals to a truly diverse audience: for younger spirits, for those who want a more elegant table, for anyone looking for uniformity, or for those who want to add a special touch with unusual combinations. Let me show you some of the collections we have.

The first collection I fell in love with was the Fleur de Ligne collection. I find it traditional, but its design has something different and rarely seen, and the combination of its pieces with a white interior and others in blue makes each one stand out even more.

Then I saw the mugs. You’d think it can’t be that I’m in my thirties and like such classic styles, but I loved them! That English, old-school feel, with its wavy edges but that very large handle that gives it personality.

After that, I started looking more into the brand, and I couldn’t help but notice the Seigaiha ranges (appealing to the core, suitable both for everyday use and for making a table stand out on a festive day) and the Green Cosmos range (subtle, elegant, very Japanese, and I’d even say very zen!).

Another collection that has stolen my heart is the textured. Very different from the others: this one is characterized by pastel colors and subtle raised details—lines, dots, or pentagons depending on the model—in some fabulous plates, bowls, and mugs. It’s a sweet, warm, beautiful collection!

Finally, I saw the two most casual collections we have, Nippon Blue and Star Wave. Combining the designs each one offers results in a collection for the kitchen and table that is truly different and beautiful.

Why not start the day by eating cereal from a beautiful, cheerful bowl? Why not make coffee in a brightly colored mug? Why not have a beautiful collection for serving salads, appetizers, or making fruit stand out in the kitchen? We eat many meals at home, and it’s a pleasure and a joy to enjoy the moment. Without a doubt, with beautiful dinnerware and accessories, you enjoy it a little more.
