Every day I enjoy the sweetness of pears more. Natural, in salads, in cakes and cakes or, as I bring them to you today, oven-roasted pears , with a touch of cinnamon and honey.

It is a great pleasure to enjoy a good breakfast calmly, and frankly this recipe for today is accompanying me in many of my morning moments. Preparing them takes very little complication (if not any) and you have them done in a jiffy.

Roasted pears are ideal to accompany salads or grilled or baked fish. It is clear that you can also take them directly or, as I like them, simply enjoy them with fresh bread and cheese. It's a great breakfast or dinner. I leave you my tricks!

Laura Ashley ceramic tray , Nordic Ware cooling rack and Emile Henry ceramic ramekin

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm pears (one that is sweet but doesn't fall apart in the heat)
  • 1 lemon
  • some cinnamon sticks
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Rosemary, orange or thousand flower honey

Preparation

  1. On an ovenproof tray, squeeze a little lemon. I have used Laura Ashley's ceramic , but you can use others (the important thing is that it has edges to retain juices).
  2. Cut the pears into slices of a couple of centimeters and arrange them on the tray. I take the opportunity to move the pears in the lemon juice, and turn them there so that they are impregnated with it (we do it to prevent them from turning black). You can also squeeze a little more lemon over the top.
  3. You apply some cinnamon sticks and baked, preheated and on top at 180º - 200 ºC
  4. When you see the wrinkled skin of the pears, remove the tray (if the oven was hot, in 10-13 minutes you will have them done).
  5. Add a little ground cinnamon and honey (Watch out! The pears are already very sweet... don't overdo it).

Note to turn these roasted pears into a VIP breakfast

The pears are delicious just like the recipe, with cinnamon and honey. But in order not to appreciate them so sweet and to enjoy them in a delicious breakfast, I invite you to try them accompanied by bread and cheese, as follows:

  1. Prepare (1) a toast of good bread or (2) tender bread with tomato, salt and oil.
  2. Arrange the roasted pear and a bit of ricotta cheese, fresh cheese or mató on top of the bread.
  3. Now apply the drizzle of honey.

Claudia's word that you're going to love it!
