It's cherry season! Bless them, because they are one of the fruits I enjoy the most. I love having them as part of the snacks - to refresh and calm hunger while waiting for the food to be ready - at snack time, telling the kids to watch out for the stone and seeing how they enjoy trying to make the most of the juicy part and, of course, how I love making jams and cakes with them!
Many of us take advantage of them when they are at their best and use them for various creations. The recipe I wanted to show you today is the one prepared by Rosa, from Pemberley Cup & Cakes : a delicious and eye-catching cherry cobbler that will leave your guests speechless. You can see the recipe here .
To prepare it, she used the skillet pan , which is fantastic for the recipe because she can bake it in the same pan, without having to move it to another tray, since the Le Creuset Skillet pan is made entirely of iron, it does not have any wooden or plastic parts that prevent it from being put at high temperatures.
If you decide to try this recipe, you might be interested to know that a cherry pitter is great for pitting cherries. I use the Oxo one , which saves me a lot of splashes, but the other ones we have in the store are also very good, and they all also work for pitting olives.
