Making sandwich bread at home is right now one of our pastimes. It's perfect for the kids who sometimes prefer a softer bread for their snack. Or to have exquisite toast with olive oil for breakfast.
There's nothing better than making your own bread at home and of all the breads I've made with the Moulinex bread maker*, this is one of the ones I make most often.
Believe me it's addictive and this way much more convenient than having to knead by hand or watch the times, since the programs do everything. That said... you control the quality of the flour, the milk and all the ingredients.

Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 220 ml water
- 50 ml milk
- 18 g fresh yeast
- 1 coffee teaspoon of sugar
- 22 g oil
- 10 g salt
Preparation
- In the pan of the bread maker place in this order: the water, the milk, the salt, the flour, the yeast and the sugar.
- Place the pan in the machine* and select program 4, the loaf weight (the quantities are for a small loaf) and the crust browning level you like.
- Press the power button and let the bread maker do its work.
- Remove the pan and unmold the bread.
- Slice it into slices with a wire bread slicer (lira), or with a very sharp knife.
*I have used the Moulinex bread maker OW6101but you will prepare it in exactly the same way with the Moulinex OW240E30 bread maker (it is also just a matter of adding the ingredients, turning on the chosen bread program and waiting for it to knead and bake by itself).

We can store the slices in a bag and freeze them to toast at the moment of consumption. Although when we do it usually doesn't happen because they usually fly!!
