If, like me, you love enjoying a good movie and you can't imagine doing it without a bowl full of popcorn, I'm going to tell you a secret to have it ready in less than it takes you to sit on the sofa, without making a mess, and! in the pan!

And so that you continue to be surprised, I am going to show you three ways to do them, all of them very fast, easy and, let me insist, without making a mess. Thus, every time we change the movie, you can also change the recipe.

I bring you how to make assorted popcorn:

  1. Mediterranean popcorn , that is, with paprika and herbs.
  2. Caramelized popcorn.
  3. Curried popcorn.

The secret to making them quickly and without messing up is that the pan in which we are going to make the popcorn is the Dupla, Bra's non-stick pan for tortillas. Wonderful.

This frying pan is actually a double frying pan that is formed from the union of two independent frying pans. These fit perfectly to flip the tortilla safely, without leaks and in the easiest way. And we can also use them separately.

Thanks to this perfect coupling, the necessary conditions are achieved inside to generate the oven effect, and we can roast on the stove with results as fantastic as in the oven and with a much lower energy cost. So it is an ideal pan for many recipes, as well as for tortillas.

And now that you know the secret, let's go with the recipes so that you can prepare the popcorn that you like the most in less time than it will take you to decide which movie you want to see.

1) Mediterranean popcorn

Ingredients

  • 30g olive oil
  • 80g corn
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Dried oregano
  • dry parsley
  • garlic powder
  • Lemon zest

Preparation

  1. Prepare your Dupla non-stick frying pan by fitting both pans together.
  2. Put the oil in the pan, add the corn, close the pan and stir well so that the oil is distributed as well as possible.
  3. Put the pan on low heat and stir little by little. You will begin to hear the characteristic "pop" of the corn popping as you continue to stir.
  4. When you stop listening, take the pan off the heat and open it to season the popcorn.
  5. First, sprinkle the paprika and stir well with a silicone spatula to distribute it; then add the salt and ground pepper to taste and, after them, the oregano, parsley and garlic powder.
  6. Finally, finely grate the skin of a lemon over the popcorn.
  7. Stir with the silicone spatula, close the pan and move it well so that the dressing reaches all the popcorn.
  8. Finally, open your Dupla, inhale the wonderful aroma that will reach you when you separate both pans and place the popcorn in a bowl.
  9. Sit on the sofa with the TV remote and the bowl close by and enjoy the movie and your popcorn!

2) Caramelized popcorn

Ingredients

  • 80-100g corn
  • 50g of sugar
  • 25 ml of water
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation

  1. Prepare a baking tray, place a sheet of parchment paper on it and reserve -note: we are not going to cook in it, it is to rest the popcorn at the end of its preparation and for the caramel to cool).
  2. Prepare your Dupla non-stick frying pan by fitting both pans together.
  3. Put the oil in the pan, add the corn, close the pan and stir well so that the oil is distributed as well as possible.
  4. Put the pan on low heat and stir little by little. You will begin to hear the characteristic "pop" of the corn popping as you continue to stir.
  5. When you stop hearing it, remove the pan from the heat, open it and reserve the popcorn in a bowl.
  6. Now you have to prepare the caramel. Put the pan over medium heat and add the sugar and water. Mix them with a spatula and stir until the caramel begins to take color. Keep stirring for a little longer, being careful not to burn yourself, as the caramel gets very hot.
  7. When you see that the caramel is ready, turn off the heat and pour the popcorn into the pan. Close the Dupla and stir well, with enveloping movements and turning it, so that they are all soaked in caramel.
  8. Separate the pans and, carefully, pour the popcorn on the tray that you had reserved, distributing it over the entire surface.
  9. Let them cool so you can easily separate them and don't burn yourself on them.
  10. Put them in a bowl, and enjoy the movie!

3) Popcorn with curry

Ingredients

  • 80g corn
  • 30g olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of your favorite curry

Preparation

  1. Prepare your Dupla non-stick frying pan by fitting both pans together.
  2. Put the oil in the pan and when it is hot, add the curry and stir well to mix it with the oil.
  3. Add the corn, close the pan and stir well so that the oil is distributed as well as possible.
  4. Bring the pan to heat over low heat and when you start to hear the characteristic "pop" of the corn popping, swirl the pan around a bit so they are loose and well seasoned.
  5. When you stop hearing it, remove the pan from the heat, open your Dupla, put the popcorn in a bowl and it's ready to eat!

Grades

  • When you prepare the Mediterranean Popcorn, with the exception of the paprika, add the other spices and the lemon zest, in the amounts you prefer, according to your taste.
  • You can prepare the popcorn seasoning it with the spices that you like the most. You will give the popcorn your personal touch: with Ras el Hanout, with a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, with ground cayenne if you want it with a spicy touch, or with sumac and lime zest...
  • If you prefer buttered popcorn, add a touch of cinnamon and/or vanilla and you'll see how delicious they are.
  • And if you want to curl the curl, make them with noisette butter or brown butter. You have the recipe here .

As you can see, the universe of popcorn is as extensive as your imagination. And with Bra's Dupla frying pan , they are made so quickly and cleanly that you can try several combinations in the same afternoon to find out which one will be your favourite.
