We have been working with Kitchen Craft products for a long time, and some of you may have noticed that lately we have added more references from this brand. The truth is I have a special fondness for this brand — it gives me a feeling that somehow intoxicates me, inspires me, and I think they have a character, an air, that fits very well with the Claudia&Julia style.

"The Claudia&Julia style" — now that I’ve written it it makes me smile. But that’s how it is and despite the smile it’s very serious for us: we give the shop its own character, which is the sum of Jordi’s and my thinking, our way of doing things, cooking, the way we want to lead our lives and our children’s. We reflect all of that when choosing the materials and shapes of the items, the manufacturing processes of our suppliers, in how we treat people, in… We put care into the shop. A shop that, despite being “modern” by being online, has all the traditional, close, quality and healthy aspects we can give it. And we find a bit of all that in Kitchen Craft items too. Well, a little of that and other things I want to explain to you; because I would be quite satisfied if you took just a tenth of the affection I have for their items.

So here I go, trying to explain the qualities and characteristics that make Kitchen Craft a brand to look upon fondly, and that breathes the same air as Claudia&Julia.

Kitchen Craft is a very practical brand: very often the practicality of their items leaves you speechless, because they make you wonder how you hadn’t thought of doing something before that they apply in such a simple way. A good example of this, so you understand me, is the cake case: thanks to a silicone seal the lid is fixed in place, so it preserves the freshness of the cake much better, and it’s ideal for transporting them.

Another characteristic is simplicity. Why bother with electric choppers or strange mechanisms, when it can be a crank? Seeing everything they do and how they execute it, it’s clear that Kitchen Craft wants to keep things simple — much easier for the consumer to like them, to know how to use the utensils, to clean them…

The fact of keeping things simple usually means they have very affordable items — other brands will be much more expensive having devised more complex systems or added extras. Kitchen Craft will stay on the line of making things for what they are, without big embellishments so they don’t become more expensive than necessary.

But despite their reasonable prices, they maintain high quality standards — you can see it in their processes and materials, which will ensure not to fail so the piece lasts a long time. To illustrate, in this case you can see the appetizer serving centerpiece (made of acacia wood with porcelain dishes) or the cheese cutting board (also made with acacia wood and stainless steel wire).

But one thing I adore about Kitchen Craft is that they always present things that somehow make you think they are unique — things you’ll want to have, things you see and think you’ve finally found what you’d seen in some special place and didn’t know where to look, beautiful things and, why not, also a bit indulgent.

And giving an example is easy. I only have to show you the glass cloche centerpiece, or the fruit and vegetable basket. Won’t you tell me these aren’t a little indulgence, a perfect gift, something you want to have or something you’d know where to go look for? (Allow me to repeat, now that I see these things again, I absolutely love what Kitchen Craft does!)

And the fact of having very distinctive, or very unique, items is also tied to the fact that it is a company that is always researching the latest trends. As a result, it keeps releasing new products that find a market open to discovering and trying them. See, for example, the Set for making preserves, which it released before making preserves at home became popular, or the adjustable funnel for preserves and that continues with the characteristics mentioned before — practical and simple.

And finally something that must be said: it’s a family business. And you know we love family-run! It was founded long ago — in 1850 — in the United Kingdom, and it has passed from parents to children ever since. That makes it a company with tradition, and the designs they apply are traditional too. You’ll surely have noticed a classic air in the centers shown earlier, but you’ll also clearly see their homely or traditional touch in the molds that are becoming so popular: cake molds, as well as the quiche mold or the ceramic oven tray.

You’ll agree with me when I say the design is very fitting for the purposes of these items, they have a traditional touch while not being heavy, I would even say they have a youthful touch, and that makes them suitable for many occasions. The same goes for the newly added aprons —look what a charming traditional touch they’ve given them!

What do you say? Between traditionalism, the pursuit of quality, the family nature, trying to offer a good price, practicality… Don’t you agree with me and think that Kitchen Craft fits very well with Claudia&Julia?
