Today's post isn't about products, recipes, or recommendations. Today's post is something different, because we have news we're very excited to tell you: we were the first in Spain to incorporate a new packaging system that I'm in love with.
What's this whole story about?, you might ask. The thing is that Jordi and I had been thinking for a while: we felt it was a shame that all the dedication and care we put into Claudia&Julia didn't arrive in a different and surprising way at the home of someone who trusted us to buy. "How we'd love it to somehow look like a gift!", we thought. And then we discovered Geami! Geami is a packaging system already being used by some companies in the United States, and it has just arrived in Europe. It's a packaging and protective system made 100% of paper—100% recyclable! To make myself clear, I can say it's the substitute for the typical plastic bubble wrap.
Geami has such a rustic and delicate look that I fell in love with it from the first moment, but it also turned out to offer many advantages! As I mentioned, it is totally recyclable, which for me is definitely an important added value; and for the customer it's convenient, because they can take the box and the Geami paper after opening their purchase and put it straight in recycling without complication.
Also, packing with it is easy and fast, it avoids having to use tape (the warehouse guys appreciated that— their elbows are in better shape!), the tissue paper inside protects against scratches, and the paper's cells—which open when stretched to wrap—cushion impacts. Isn't that fantastic?
The folks at Rajapack, Geami's distributors in Spain, wanted to make a video for us. In it you'll see a bit of what I've told you:
We didn't hesitate for a minute to incorporate it at Claudia&Julia to protect all delicate products! We've been using it since the end of last year; in fact we've been the first company in Spain to have it! That's already an achievement in itself, but what has truly made me happy during this time has been the surprise of receiving your messages, photos and emails saying how surprised you are with it, how you like it and all the uses you give it: from using it to store delicate things at home, to being perfect for doing crafts with the little ones, and you've even sent us photos of how the headboard of the bed looked with Geami as decoration!
I'm very happy to see that you like Geami, besides being as useful to us when sending such delicate materials as what we ship.

He tenido el gusto de recibir varios envíos con el nuevo sistema de embalaje, y además de bonito en su presentación, queda todo perfectamente envalado y lleva sin un mínimo arañón. Y por supuesto, mirando por el medio ambiente!

Claudia, sois lo mas… cuidáis hasta el mas mínimo detalle. No solo es práctico y útil, además me parece superchulo éste nuevo concepto de embalaje. Ayer cuando recibí mi pedido pensé que sería ideal para las fotos del blog. En fín… reiteraros mi admiración por el trabajo tan serio e impecable que hacéis.

La verdad es que el embalaje es fantástico . Estas navidades me regalaron una sartén directamente envuelta en este papel y quedaba precioso el paquete, daba pena hasta abrirlo. Comprar en vuestra web da seguridad y confianza en todos los sentidos. Un saludo.

Me parece un embalaje genial. Me gusta mucho que sea todo papel y reciclable, además las compras llegan perfectamente protegidas (gracias a la gente que trabaja en el almacén!). Me alegra que lo hayáis incluido en vuestra empresa, siempre mejorando, aunque ya nos tenéis enamorados 100%
