These watermelon and lemon popsicles have been a hit at home. With the arrival of summer, and sometimes even before, the kids stop drinking yogurt in their cups and the Zoku t-shirt starts its high season. When it's not yogurt it's juice, and when it's not... something else. I've even seen them drink Cola Cao in the morning with its stick. And that way, there's no doubt, it's much more fun.

We also have the episode when friends come over and offer them freshly made ice cream with their own hands. They all go crazy and of course want to make their own; mix different flavoured yoghurts to make a striped popsicle… well… a great plan!

Apart from these basic creations that they love and repeat every summer like a ritual, the Zoku T-shirt also works well with adults. I love inventing different combinations to surprise our own friends. Today's one is super eye-catching and downright delicious!

Zoku Quick Pop Double Ice Cream Maker

Ingredients

  • 400gr of watermelon
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 glass of water
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • Toasted sesame
  • Currants

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, heat the water, lemon juice and sugar until it dissolves well.
  2. We remove it and let it cool.
  3. In a container we put this lemonade, add the watermelon in pieces and blend.
  4. We take our Zoku ice cream maker out of the freezer.
  5. We join a sprig of currants and a stick from the mould with our fingers and insert them together into the hole in the t-shirt. If we see that it does not fit easily due to the volume of the currants, we tilt them a little, but we try to keep them as centred as possible.
  6. We do this same thing with each hole in our Zoku.
  7. We add the watermelon and lemon juice.
  8. We wait 8 minutes (yes, with the Zoku ice cream maker they are ready in that record time!) and unmold with the help of the knob-shaped accessory. Twist it and pull.
  9. We place the white plastic base on the knob. It is very practical so as not to get dirty if the popsicle drips.
  10. We decorate with a little sesame as a topping.

The popsicle maker must be in the freezer for 24 hours beforehand for it to work properly. The two-pocket maker can make up to six popsicles in a row, and the six-pocket maker can make nine. It is best to rinse it after use and always keep it in the freezer so that it is available at any time.
