Those of you who know me already know about my unconditional love for Le Creuset casseroles. I love cooking with them, not only because recipes turn out so well, but also because of what it means to use an icon of French cuisine. The ritual of taking a casserole off the shelf, preheating the oven, and starting to prep the ingredients always brings a smile to my face, because it usually heralds a special meal with my family or with guests.
Le Creuset has perfectly preserved the essence and characteristics of cast-iron casseroles over the years, and this time it has introduced a new model, called Evolution (also called Signature in other countries), which keeps everything we love about casseroles and improves some details:
- Larger handles so you can hold and carry the casserole from the oven to the table more comfortably and safely, even with oven mitts.
- More stain-, wear-, and scratch-resistant interior enamel. It’s also easier to clean than traditional enamel.
- New lid design with a better fit to retain moisture and flavor inside the casserole. It also has a more ergonomic knob that’s comfortable to hold.
You can now buy the new Evolution casseroles in our shop in their versions of round casserole, Shallow Casserole and oval casserole. What’s more, the new casseroles come in new colors that I’m sure you’ll love!
