Designed in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti, this coffee maker has become one of the favourites among coffee lovers all over the world. We would even go so far as to say that there isn’t an Italian kitchen without one of these coffee makers. There have been a few changes between that first Bialetti Moka Express Italian coffee maker and the one we have today. The design has been refined while retaining the essence of the original octagonal shape, and it remains a fantastic ally for making the very best coffee.
The body of the Bialetti Moka Express Italian coffee maker is made from aluminium, while the handle and knob are made from thermoplastic material to help prevent burns when handling it. Hand washing is recommended, but don’t worry, as it is very easy to clean; even the safety valve is wonderfully simple to keep looking as good as new.
You can use the Bialetti Moka Express Italian coffee maker on any type of hob except induction. If you have an induction hob, simply get the Bialetti induction hob adapter and you’ll have no problem using it.
