The Lodge round cast iron grill press will be your best ally for achieving perfect, even cooking results, reducing cooking time. With its completely flat lid-like design and its cast iron construction, its weight will be a great help in achieving a great final result when cooking your steaks and burgers. 

The press has a 20 cm diameter and features a large integrated iron handle so you can place it on the piece and remove it when it's ready, conveniently. It's a perfect press for cooking in the pan, on the griddle, the grill, in the oven, or on the barbecue. You can use it cold or hot, depending on the result you want to achieve:

  • The hot press lets you reduce cooking time and also brown food on both sides at the same time, preventing it from warping and cooking unevenly. You just need to heat the press in the oven, on the stovetop, the barbecue, or the grill. Once it's hot, place it on the food and keep the press flat. You'll get both sides of the chicken, steak, sandwich, or burger to cook and brown evenly. If you want the food to release its juices, you can press it down a little with the press. The more you press, the faster it will cook. When it's browned to your liking, simply remove the press to serve the cooked piece. 
  • The cold press is ideal if you only want completely smooth results and want to fully control cooking time. It is the perfect way to get those flat, crispy bacon slices that make you sigh. 

Being made of cast iron, when used hot, the heat retention is excellent, so you will get meat, vegetables, or sandwiches cooked in less time on both sides, without having to turn them over during cooking. 

NOTE: Factory seasoning gives Lodge cast iron pieces a rustic finish with certain imperfections, such as an occasional brown mark on the rim, handle, or grip. Don't worry! These are small spots where the oil has not bonded to the iron, but you can use your piece with no problem. This is not a defect or rust, and it will disappear with normal use and care.
