The high Mineral B iron pan from De Buyer with 2 handles is a pan with great depth, ideal for frying and making rice dishes or stews as well as roasting in the oven. And thanks to its stainless steel handles, you can hold it with greater comfort and safety, making it completely suitable for your oven roasts!

In our Mediterranean diet, we use oil profusely. And this high mineral iron pan is perfect for frying, as its walls contain our excesses without splattering the kitchen.

  1. Handcrafted in iron,
  2. Without using chemicals or strange coatings or heavy metals,
  3. Treated with a layer of beeswax that protects the pan and gives it a naturally non-stick surface.
  4. Ideal for sautéing vegetables or even browning meats like a pro.
  5. Suitable for all heat sources including induction.
  6. It is suitable for cooking in the oven

The high iron pan has two elegant and sturdy stainless steel handles that allow you to handle it with comfort and safety, both on the stove and in the oven. Thanks to its great height and capacity, it is a very versatile pan in which you can prepare all kinds of dishes:

  • Sautés. The high temperatures reached by the iron, combined with the design and height of this pan, make it ideal for use as a wok, making it perfect for sautéing meats, fish, seafood, and vegetables, as it allows you to quickly achieve a homogeneous and tasty cooking result.
  • Frying. Without a doubt, it is a wonderful pan for frying, as it not only provides great heating of the oil, its high walls also prevent splattering. Its design resembling a concave casserole provides greater capacity, so you can fry more in less time.
  • Stews and braises. This pan is perfect for all types of spoon stews and braises. The high temperature reached by the iron will allow you to quickly sear the meat pieces and maintain a "simmer" at low fire powers, resulting very efficient.
  • Roasts and gratins in the oven. With capacity to bake a whole chicken with its accompanying potatoes and onions, you can roast any food, both meats and fish as well as vegetables. It is also a great option for cooking oven dishes like frittatas or meatloafs. And without a doubt, it is very convenient to cook with it on the stove and give a toasted or gratin finish in the oven.

Why we like the Iron Country Pan With 2 Handles

  1. Mineral iron distributes the heat so well over the entire surface of the pan that any food is cooked and browned evenly and beautifully.
  2. And this mineral B frying pan with the stainless steel handle also prevents the handle from getting too hot and burning you if you are careless.
  3. It is oven-safe, not only for heating, but you can also cook in it normally in the oven.
  4. Using De Buyer iron mineral pans makes our cooking more professional. We can dream that we are Ratatouille.
Things to know about Mineral B iron pans
    • De Buyer pans are made in France, and they are the only ones with a certification of iron purity of over 99%. The best!
    • Since they are iron pans, they can rust. How to prevent it? Avoid prolonged contact with water, do not let them air dry: just dry them with a cloth after washing. If you want, you can leave them on low heat for a few minutes again to remove all moisture while you finish cooking (it's a super easy trick to follow and very useful).
    • If you are going to leave them unused for many days, you can apply some oil and spread it on the surface with a paper towel, but it is not strictly necessary.
    • Before first use, it is very interesting to season them. This seasoning makes them more non-stick naturally. Seasoning is super easy to do. Watch the video among the photos to learn how to do it.
    • You have a pan for life! You can scrub it with a soft sponge or wash it with detergent to remove food residues, it will not harm the pan! (there is no non-stick coating that you can damage). They can turn black, all over or in patches. Don't worry, the blacker they get, the better they will be.
    • If there are rust spots, pass a paper towel with oil, and you will see how it magically disappears. If the rusted part is larger, pass the sponge without fear. It will not harm anything; it is a completely iron pan: under the iron layer, there is more iron.
    • If you had to scrub it with a sponge or if you just feel like it, you can season it again, but it is not necessary to do it regularly.
