Made in France, this small cocotte of cast iron with vitreous enamel stands out for its exceptional durability, excellent heat retention and distribution, and versatility. You can cook stews, roast foods, saute vegetables, or reduce sauces. Like the casserole, this mini piece features condensation lid. This self-basting design keeps moisture in and puts it to work, redistributing the steam water over the food in the form of raindrops

The the vitrified enamel interior of the Staub mini casserole is matte black. Very durable and prized for how well it performs in slow, gentle cooking and at high temperatures too. This finish promotes browning of food, it is highly durable, very resistant to stains and scratches, and makes cleaning and maintaining your casserole easier.
