Look closely, because the Wanderlust Lodge cast iron deep skillet and shallow skillet set is much more than just a set of two 26 cm cast iron skillets. With this Set you will have a tall casserole with lid, a deep frying pan, and a traditional frying pan from the collection, three pieces in a single Set with which you can cook all kinds of recipes, whether in the kitchen, in the oven, or on the barbecue. From stews, soups, or casseroles to fried or sauteed dishes, roasts, or healthy and natural cooking, on the griddle and with little oil, or tarts, breads, quiches, pies, or sponge cakes, you can do it all!
The Set of high-sided and low-sided 26 cm frying pans is part of the Wanderlust collection by Lodge. This collection celebrates adventure and the tradition of outdoor cooking. Its pieces feature engravings inspired by mountain landscapes, camping scenes, or country houses evoking nature, travel, and the good times shared around the fire.
The cast-iron construction of the two 26 cm skillets gives them excellent heat retention that is distributed evenly. The height of the deep skillet gives it a generous 3-liter capacity, ideal for cooking your best slow-cooked stews for the whole week or the whole family. The low skillet also works as a perfect lid to retain the steam inside and save time while cooking. Plus, you'll have a fantastic skillet for cooking on the griddle, in a natural way and without nonstick coatings, for meat, fish, or vegetables alike, with fantastic results.
IMPORTANT! As you may have guessed after seeing the manufacturing process, the skillets are NOT perfect: they have small imperfections that are very common, usually linked to some irregularity in the cast iron. This is normal and nothing to worry about (if there is not one small imperfection, there will be another). It is part of their process and charm, and you can rest completely assured because what matters is that the seasoning has been done over the entire skillet.
Lodge cast iron pieces are heavy, and they are not dishwasher safe. What’s great about them (besides being incredible, natural skillets) is that they already come pre-seasoned from the factory, so you can start using them as soon as they arrive at your home (no pre-seasoning required). But remember: they are made of cast iron, but not vitrified, so right after washing them they must be dried, or rust will appear. If rust does appear, simply scrub it with a scouring pad to restore it. If you want, you can season it from time to time... Although you’re doing that with every use! Use it daily, dry it right away, and you’ll have a skillet for life (and incredibly tasty recipes with natural flavors!).

You can use both pieces together or separately. To cook with them, simply let them heat up gradually so the heat is distributed evenly throughout the piece, and start cooking when they are very hot. To clean them, let them cool first; wash them with a non-abrasive sponge and detergent, and lightly oil the interior surface to prevent rust. For best care, it is recommended to always store them in a dry place.
Remember that the cookware is made of iron and manufactured in a single piece, so the handle and helper handles get hot. With the Lodge hot handle silicone protector and the Lodge silicone handle protectors for cookware, you can handle Lodge iron cookware safely and without burning yourself.
NOTE: The factory seasoning gives Lodge cast iron pieces a rustic finish with certain imperfections, such as a brown mark on the rim, the handle, or the helper handle. Don’t worry! These are small spots where the oil has not fully bonded to the iron, but you can use your piece without any problem. This is not a defect or rust and it will disappear with normal use and care.
