Get ready to enjoy baking your best sweet and savoury recipes with the Lodge deep cast iron baking dish. This impressive rectangular cast iron dish will become the piece you use for everything. A large, deep dish for your lasagnes or meat pies, for those cinnamon rolls everyone loves at home, for the Sunday roast chicken, for baked fish at dinner or for baking amazing cakes and breads, thanks to its fantastic heat retention and distribution. A wonderful dish!
Made in the United States with cast iron, with no coatings, and seasoned with oil, this dish will never dent, bend or warp, so you can create delicious sweet and savoury recipes that bring back memories passed down from generation to generation. Thanks to its cast iron construction, the dish offers excellent heat retention, which it distributes wonderfully. The result is even, consistent cooking and a crispy, golden finish. Nothing beats iron for a good roast!
Its high sides provide greater capacity and hold in juices and food. This 33 cm dish is designed for cooking for family celebrations or gatherings with friends, but it's also perfect for baking large pieces or getting a good part of the week's batch cooking done.
Lodge iron pieces are heavy and are not dishwasher-safe. The good news (apart from being incredible, natural pieces) is that they come pre-seasoned from the factory, so you can start using them as soon as they arrive (no prior seasoning needed). But remember: they are cast iron but not enamelled, so it must be dried straight after washing or it will rust. If rust appears, simply rub it with a scouring pad to restore it. Use it often, dry it straight away, and you'll have a dish for life (and incredibly tasty recipes with natural flavours!).

To clean it, always let it cool before putting it under water, wash it with a non-abrasive sponge and detergent and lightly oil the inside surface to prevent rust. For optimal care, always store it in a dry place.
Remember that the dish is made of iron in a single piece, so the handles get hot. With the Lodge silicone pot handle holders, you can handle it safely without burning yourself.
NOTE: Factory seasoning gives Lodge cast iron pieces a rustic finish with certain imperfections, such as the odd brown mark on the rim, handle or grip. Don't worry! They are small spots where the oil has not bonded to the iron, but you can use your piece without any problem. It is not a defect or rust and disappears with normal use and care.
