Emile Henry surprises us again with a new utensil for baking our own bread at home. This time it is a ceramic dish of 39 x 24cm ideal for baking three tasty crusty baguettes, several mini baguettes or bread rolls (two or three in each pocket, depending on how long you put the dough in) with all the flavour of freshly baked home-made bread.
The baguette oven is designed for perfect baking because the lid creates the right level of humidity and has holes to allow carbon dioxide to escape during cooking. By recreating the same conditions as a traditional oven, we can achieve the thin crispy crust so characteristic of authentic French baguettes.
In addition, the Emile Henry baguette baker can also be used to bake pastries! Of course it can: the baker is made of the same ceramic that Emile Henry uses to make her cake moulds and so many other things, but in the shape of a baguette oven. So for example, if you want to use puff pastry dough along the side, or shortcrust pastry, and fill these doughs with anything (from cream to fruit, chocolate... or make a savoury filling) you can do it no problem at all. Baking will be great! Or you can use sponge dough and make long thin sponge cakes, or brioches, and decorate them on top in the most original way.
NOTE: This product comes in a standard, neutral plain brown box. This is not a B-grade or refurbished product, it is a newly manufactured product from the Emile Henry factory, which they put in special packaging for online shops, to ensure safe transport for the pieces of the set. It's not a fancy box, but we assure you that it will arrive 100% safe!

Horno cerámico para baguettes Emile Henry
Es mi primer horno ceramico y estoy encantadisima con la compra. El pan sale tierno y crujiente. Desde que lo compre no he parado de usarlo.
Una autentica maravilla de horno.
Tengo varios hornos de Emile Henry y me había ido muy bien desde el primer uso, sin embargo, este lo he tenido que probar varias veces hasta que he dado con el truco, porque al principio se me pegaban en los laterales y en el fondo.
Por lo que he descubierto la cantidad de masa es importante y hay que seguir las cantidades de la receta (no pasarse de 375 gr de harina es importante) o no obtienes un buen resultado. Por lo demás las baguettes han salido muy ricas aunque un poco pequeñas.
Estoy contenta con el horno.
A pesar de su voluminosidad y peso, es útil para conseguir barras tiernas y crujientes. Se echa de menos un recetario en español.
Estoy muy contenta con la compra. El pan sale buenísimo. Sólo hay que tener cuidado al principio y espolvorear bien de harina para que no se peguen las baguettes, pero si te pasa puedes frotar sin miedo que no se raya en absoluto.
