• A wooden cone to roll the wafers as they are ready.

How to use the Nordic Ware Waffle Pan Kit

1. Clean the waffle pan before use with warm water and a little soap. Dry it well and lightly grease the inside surface (you can use butter or oil).
2. Place the support on the hob (gas, ceramic or electric) and place the pan on the support. Allow it to heat up on a medium heat for about 3-5 minutes and lift the top. If you notice any excess grease, wipe it off with some kitchen paper (be careful not to burn yourself).
3. The pan will now be hot enough to start pouring the batter, so pour a teaspoon or two into the centre of the pan, to make a first test wafer to discard.
4. Close the griddle by lightly squeezing the handle and leave it for about 10 seconds before turning the pan over and cooking the cookie for another 10 seconds, or until golden.
   
5. Check if the wafer is done by opening the pan and, if it is, remove the first biscuit, which is the test biscuit.
6. Repeat the process again to make the first cookie.
7. Once done, remove it from the pan using a spatula and immediately roll it into the cone to give it the desired shape.
8. Remove the wafer from the cone. Allow it to cool so that the seam is facing down and fill when cold.
9. Cook all the wafers you want in the same way, until you finish the batter.

Note: Use oven mitts to avoid burning yourself as the handles get very hot. Use a spatula or tongs to safely remove the waffles from the pan.
