Elegant and functional, the Féerie Le Jacquard Français cotton tea towel and hand towel are an exquisite example of the finest French textile craftsmanship. The Féerie pieces stand out for their magical and enchanting designs, inspired by the magic of Christmas and fairy tales. These jacquard towels are responsibly and sustainably made in France, using excellent quality combed cotton. The patterns woven into the fabric of both towels are truly beautiful and highly detailed. And no matter how many times you wash them, they will remain just as lovely.

Both models are made from 100% long-staple combed cotton. They are soft, absorbent and very pleasant to the touch, but there are some differences:

  • Tea towel. It is a generous 60 x 80 cm jacquard towel. In red, with festive motifs and a beautiful golden Christmas tree design. Smoother, softer and more compact than the hand towel, its absorbency makes it ideal for drying dishes or glassware. It is also a beautiful towel for covering fruit, bread or sweets at Christmas or at any time of the year.
  • Hand towel. Jacquard waffle hand towel, 54 x 38 cm, with “Sanfor” label. The mustard yellow colour and star-lined pattern are the highlights of its design. Thicker to the touch, with a more spongy appearance, greater absorbency and enhanced breathability. The “Sanfor” label guarantees that, thanks to its waffle weave, it has been treated to prevent shrinking or warping after washing.

What is the Jacquard technique?

Le Jacquard Français is renowned for producing fabrics using the jacquard technique. This technique, invented in 1804 by Joseph Marie Jacquard, integrates the design into the fabric itself through a loom that individually controls the different threads in each stitch. The pattern is woven at the same time as the fabric; it is not printed or added afterwards. The creations are richer, with texture and relief, retaining their beautiful and luxurious appearance over time.

What is combed cotton?

Le Jacquard Français uses top-quality natural fibres to guarantee excellence in its textiles. Alongside linen, one of its main materials is combed cotton. This type of cotton is carefully and meticulously combed to remove impurities and shorter fibres. Only the longest fibres remain, resulting in a softer, more uniform and more resistant yarn. With this combed cotton thread, the fabrics are more durable and very pleasant to the touch.
