The WMF Profi Plus ladle is ideal for serving all kinds of soups or creamy soups. A basic tool in any kitchen and on the table.

It’s a utensil that will last a lifetime in your home. It is made from high-quality stainless steel, 100% hygienic and durable, and dishwasher safe.

Ways you can use your WMF Profi Plus ladle

A soup ladle, although mainly designed for soups and broths, is actually a multi-purpose kitchen tool. See how many uses you can get from it!

  • Serving stews and casseroles: Perfect for serving dishes with plenty of liquid, such as lentil stew, bean stew or meat casseroles.
  • If you need a generous amount of sauce to accompany a dish, a ladle is ideal for pouring it quickly.
  • Filling large moulds: Useful for pouring liquid batters (such as sponge cakes or flans) into large moulds.
  • Preparing and serving cocktails or punch: If you have a large jug or punch bowl, a ladle is ideal for serving drinks into glasses.
  • Removing large foods: Although it’s not a strainer, you can use it to lift foods such as boiled eggs, cooked vegetables or ravioli (you can tilt it against the inside wall of the pot to drain most of the liquid).
  • Pouring hot oil: If you need to add small amounts of hot oil to a recipe, a ladle makes it practical and safe.
  • Skimming foam: Use it to remove foam or impurities that form in broths or when boiling meats and fish.
  • Filling jars and bottles: It helps fill jars with soups, purées or homemade preserves neatly.
  • If you make fritters or croquettes, you can use it as a spoon to place portions of batter into hot oil safely.
  • Tip! For poached eggs: Crack the egg into the ladle and gently lower it into hot water to poach it perfectly.
  • When serving meat or fish, the ladle is ideal for collecting some cooking juices to use as a garnish or sauce.
  • Serving ice cream or sorbets: Although not its main purpose, a ladle can help portion homemade ice creams or sorbets quickly.
  • As an improvised tool for serving rice or pasta: If you don’t have a large serving spoon handy, a ladle can do the job.
