The Wanderlust Lodge cast iron skillet with two handles is a highly versatile piece, designed for enjoying cooking anywhere, both in the home kitchen and outdoors. Being made of cast ironit will become your best ally for achieving perfect, flavorful cooking, thanks to its excellent heat retention and distribution. Its greater depth and two wide handles make this 26 cm skillet a Shallow Casserole perfect for frying, sauteing, browning, stewing, baking, or roastingfor all kinds of dishes, with mouthwatering results.
The cast iron skillet with two handles is part of the Lodge's Wanderlust collection. This collection celebrates the adventure and tradition of outdoor cooking. Its pieces feature engravings inspired by mountain landscapes, camping scenes, or country housesevoking nature, travel, and the good times shared around the fire.
The high walls make it ideal for frying, as it prevents splatter and, being made of cast iron, fried foods turn out very crisp. That extra depth gives it generous capacity, making it a great option for preparing any recipe, from a sauté or a spoon dish in the kitchen to a slow-cooked stew in the oven, a loaf on the barbecue, or migas over the campfire. The two handles make it easy to handle and will allow you to move it easily from the kitchen to the oven or carry it comfortably from the oven to the table.
IMPORTANT! As you may have guessed after seeing how they are made, the skillets ARE NOT perfect: they have small imperfections that are completely normal, usually linked to some irregularity in the cast iron. This is normal and should not worry you (if there isn't one small imperfection, there will be another). It is part of their process and charm, and you can rest easy because what matters is that the seasoning has been applied across the entire skillet.
When you want to use it, simply let it heat up gradually so the heat is distributed evenly throughout the piece, and start cooking when it is very hot. To clean it, let it cool first; wash it with a sponge and non-abrasive detergent, and lightly oil the inside surface to prevent rust. For optimal care, it is recommended to always store it in a dry place.
Remember that the skillet is made of iron and is cast in one piece, so the handles heat up. With the Lodge silicone handle holders for pots and pans, you can handle it safely and without burning yourself.
Lodge cast iron pieces are heavy, and they are not dishwasher safe. One good thing about them (besides being incredible, natural pans) is that they already come seasoned from the factory, so you can start using them as soon as they arrive at home (no pre-seasoning required). But remember: they are made of cast iron, but not vitrified, so right after washing them they must be dried, or rust will appear. If rust does appear, simply use a scrub pad to restore it. If you want, you can season it from time to time... Although you're doing that with every use! Use it every day, dry it right away, and you'll have a skillet for life (and incredibly tasty recipes and natural flavors).

NOTE: The factory seasoning gives Lodge cast iron pieces a rustic finish with certain imperfections, such as a brown mark on the rim, the handle, or the grip. Don't worry! These are small spots where the oil has not bonded to the iron, but you can use your piece without any problem. It is not a defect or rust, and it disappears with regular use and care.
