De Buyer has introduced a new frying pan model designed especially for us: those who love their iron pans! It’s their popular Mineral B pan but with an even more rustic finish thanks to the beechwood handle inserts. These inserts make cooking more comfortable without burning yourself and give the pan a beautiful look. I find it gorgeous!

De Buyer’s Mineral B iron pans are ideal for healthy cooking as they are made of iron without using any chemicals or strange coatings. They are perfect for searing meats, sautéing vegetables, or frying eggs. They are also suitable for all heat sources, including induction.

  1. Handcrafted from iron.
  2. Made without chemicals, strange coatings, or heavy metals.
  3. Treated with a natural beeswax layer that protects the pan from the factory to your home.
  4. With use, they develop a patina that makes them naturally non-stick.
  5. Perfect for searing or roasting meats, sautéing vegetables, or frying eggs.
  6. Suitable for all heat sources, including induction.
  7. Like all Mineral B pans, they are made in France!

Why we love the Mineral B iron pan with beechwood handle

  1. Mineral iron distributes heat so well across the entire surface of the pan that food cooks evenly and gets perfectly golden.
  2. They are virtually indestructible. If cared for, they will last a lifetime.
  3. The beechwood handle gives it a beautiful look and makes cooking more comfortable.

Important things to know about Mineral B iron pans
  • De Buyer pans are made in France, and they are the only ones certified with iron purity above 99%. Simply the best!
  • As iron pans, they can rust. How to prevent this? Avoid prolonged contact with water, and don’t let them air dry. After washing, dry them with a cloth. If you want, you can place them over low heat for a few minutes to remove any moisture completely.
  • If you won’t use them for an extended period, you can apply a little oil and spread it over the surface with kitchen paper, but it’s not essential.
  • Before the first use, it’s highly recommended to season them. This makes them naturally more non-stick. Seasoning is super simple. Check the video in the photos to see how.
  • This is a lifetime pan! You can scrub it with a soft sponge or a scouring pad to remove food without damaging it (there is no non-stick coating to harm). They may turn black, either uniformly or in patches. Don’t worry; the blacker they get, the better they perform.
  • If rust spots appear, wipe them with an oiled paper towel, and they will disappear. For larger rusted areas, scrub with a scouring pad. It won’t damage the pan; it’s solid iron through and through.
  • If you scrub it hard or feel like it, you can season it again, but it’s not necessary to do so regularly.
