How to use the Le Creuset Ceramic Rabbit Pie Chimney
It’s very easy to use:
- Place the ceramic rabbit on the base of the pie you’re going to bake; if possible place it in the center.
- Put the filling onto the pie or empanada base (meat, vegetables, fruit...), around the rabbit.
- Cover the pie with the remaining dough, piercing it only once so that the bunny pie can peek its little head out.
- Bake the pie without needing to poke the rest of the dough with a toothpick or fork. The steam that builds up inside the pie will escape through the rabbit, preventing the dough from puffing up or splitting open.
