Tradition Shallow Casserole-style low Cocotte

Made of cast iron with vitreous enamel, the Tradition low casserole, Shallow Casserole style is the classic model, before the Evolution model. It is characterized by:
  • It may come with a steel knob (suitable for maximum temperatures of 250º C), but also with a phenolic knob (black, suitable for maximum temperatures of 200 °C). 
  • Its handles are slightly smaller compared with the Evolution.
  • The lid design is traditional.

Evolution Shallow Casserole-style low Cocotte or Signature Cocotte

With the same cast iron construction and vitrified enamel, the Evolution low casserole, Shallow Casserole style, is Le Creuset's latest model. Also known as Signature, it incorporates the following improvements: 
  • It comes with a stainless steel knob, suitable for maximum temperatures of 250º C. 
  • Larger handles to grip and carry the cast-iron Shallow Casserole from the oven to the table more comfortably and safely, even with oven gloves.
  • Updated lid design, with a better fit to retain all the moisture and flavor inside the casserole.
