The smoker body (the base with lid), smoking tray, drip tray, wood chips, thermometer, and tips and recipes booklet (in English, but you can download it in Spanish here).
Smoker Preparation: Decide if you want to smoke dry or wet. Place the drip tray over the wood chips. Fill the drip tray with liquid if you prefer wet smoking.
Adding the Food: Place the food on the smoking tray, spreading it out to allow the smoke to circulate.
Start Smoking: Place the lid on the base and adjust the vent according to your preferences. Place the smoker over the stove burner or the grill on medium-low heat.
Temperature Control: Adjust the heat to maintain an internal smoker temperature of 90°C - 100°C. Start the timer when the thermometer reaches the desired temperature.
Finishing Smoking: Leave the lid closed for at least 15 minutes before opening. Use an instant-read thermometer to check the doneness of the food if necessary.
A smoker is a versatile tool that allows you to cook a variety of foods in a unique and delicious way. Here are some things you can make in a smoker:
Smoking Meat: The smoker is ideal for smoking meat, such as ribs, chicken breasts, pulled pork, fish, and sausages. Smoking enhances the flavor of the meat and gives it a juicy, tender texture.
Smoking Poultry: You can smoke whole chicken, thighs, wings, or any part of the chicken. Smoking adds a delicious smoky flavor and keeps the meat juicy.
Smoking Fish: Smoked fish is a gourmet treat. You can smoke salmon, trout, cod, tuna, or any other type of fish to get a unique and delicious smoky flavor.
Smoking Vegetables: Smoked vegetables have a delicious smoky flavor that makes them irresistible. You can smoke vegetables like eggplants, zucchinis, peppers, mushrooms, and more to create tasty vegetarian dishes.
Smoking Cheeses: Smoking can also be used to flavor cheeses. Soft cheeses, such as cream cheese or brie, are ideal for smoking as they absorb smoky flavors well.
Smoking Fruits: Smoking fruits like apples, pears, plums, or peaches can give them a deliciously smoky flavor that perfectly complements their natural sweetness.
Smoked Pizza: You can use the smoker to give your homemade pizza a unique smoky flavor. Prepare your favorite pizza dough and add the toppings. Then, place the pizza in the smoker and let it cook until the crust is crispy and the toppings are well cooked. Smoking will add a delicious smoky flavor to your pizza, taking its taste to another level.
Smoked Pastries: Pastries can also be smoked to give them an extra touch of flavor. You can make pastries filled with cheese, ham, spinach, or whatever you like, and then place them in the smoker to cook. Smoking will add an extra layer of flavor to the pastries, making them even more delicious and tempting.
To use it, put a couple of tablespoons of wood chips for smoking (you can find chips of different types of wood here) in the container and then the liquid tray on top. You can cook without adding any liquid to the tray or by adding a glass of water to the tray. Cooking with some liquid will allow you to get more tender meats and even add flavor if you use beer or add some juice or wine to the water.
Place the food on the tray, cover, and put the smoker over medium heat until it reaches 200-220ºC inside. It is very important to maintain this temperature range by adjusting both the heat and opening the top vents if you want to lower the internal temperature. Depending on the piece you are going to cook, you should leave the smoker on the heat for up to two hours, always monitoring the internal temperature for optimal cooking of the food.
