What does Claudia&Julia do as a commitment to sustainability?

At Claudia&Julia, we have always been mindful of our commitment to the planet. From day one, we have not only focused on offering high-quality products but also on doing so in a way that is responsible to the environment. We believe that every little gesture counts, and over the years we have implemented several initiatives to reduce our environmental impact, promote responsible consumption, and take care of natural resources.

Here are some of the actions we are taking on our path towards a more sustainable store, because we are convinced that together we can make a difference.


  • We promote the use of durable utensils: you won’t find many "gadgets" made of plastic at Claudia&Julia that, while they may seem practical in the short term, often break easily and require repeated purchases. We firmly believe that it is better to invest in quality products that will last for years rather than opting for cheap utensils that wear out quickly and ultimately generate more waste.
In this same spirit, since the beginning, we have encouraged customers to  acquire cast iron and stainless steel pans, durable for a lifetime, thus avoiding the need to buy new pans every one or two years. Thanks to all of you who trust us, we are the go-to store for 100% durable pans!
  • We minimize the use of non-recyclable material: since the store’s inception, we have used recyclable packaging for shipments and avoided the use of bubbles or plastic materials. Furthermore, a few years ago we invested in machines to recycle boxes, which we then use as inner protection for shipments, and we use recyclable, non-plastic sealing tape.
  • We avoid double shipments: we try to combine orders whenever possible to avoid double shipments (which involve double the boxes and double the transport and CO2 emissions).
  • We participate in reforestation projects: for some time now, the store has implemented a policy to offset carbon emissions generated during the shipping process: we collaborate on reforestation and renewable energy projects, achieving carbon-neutral shipping on all orders.
  • We have been pioneers in Spain in using boxes that do not require tree cutting and are much more eco-friendly: we use boxes made from recycled boxes and hay, which are much more ecological and sustainable than any other box (you can discover everything about them in this post).
